Working from home

Hello. I will be relocating to NT this coming May on a TR 189 visa. My boss is kind enough to extend our working relationship once I move. Question: how does australian taxation work for people exclusively working from home? Is $60k a good enough salary in Darwin to cover basic expenses? Matipid naman ako. Hindi din ako maarte sa bahay although dahil kailangan ko ng office, my plan is to rent a 1-bedroom apartment plus kailangan ng high speed internet at telepono. I heard that you can also get tax deductions for expenses you incurr on equipment like computer, rent, bills etc, di lang ako sure papaano.

Also, since magbabayad naman ako ng tax, wala itong issue sa path to permanent residency after 2 years diba, kahit hindi ako pumapasok sa opisina ng isang oz employer, tama ba? Ang requirement ko kasi is live in NT for 2 yrs, work in NT for a year straight.

189 is a permanent residence visa.. Did you say TR 189 or 489?

Check if you possible kung pwde kumuha ka ng ABN- parang business number, so parang gumawa ka ng sariling business.. Ganyan ginagawa ng mga maliliit na contractors/ consultant or mga business from home..
Tpos parang invoice mo ng company to get your salary..

That way, it might (not sure) be considered as working for NT employer, which is your own business..
