How did you pay for online visa application?

@jomel debit card functions like a credit card for online payments, that's why meron visa/mastercard debit cards. ang kaibahan lang dapat may enough funds corresponding to the amount you are paying (and other banks places a limit for security kse direct deduction sa acct mo yan). Having said this, yes you may use debit card with visa/mastercard logo, just ensure you check with your bank if your debit card has transaction limit as this visa fee payment is one heck of a huge transaction, hehe.

thanks for your reply manofsteel, yun nga malaki rin ang involved na money that is why we want to make sure. that is why i'm waiting also for somebody here in the forum to confirm what type of pinas debit card they used in paying their visa. at least we can also use the same debit card as theirs. pero if wala talaga confirmation, then maybe we can ask a friend in AUS to pay it for us and we will just send the money to AUS through bank wire transfer or western union.

did you call your bank? minsan kasi may daily transaction limit ang mga banks..

Ginamit ko ang BPI credit card ko, nag bills payment ako ng worth Php150,000, tapos nagreflect kinabukas ang allowable limit ko na ay Php220,000. Successful ang transaction ko kanina.. Thanks po Sir @lock_code2004.

nope wasn't able to use my pinas debit card, i asked a friend from AUS to make the payment for me.

Wala pa nakatry na magdebit card dito? Tried my HSBC debit card pero may error na "Declined" e. May enough funds naman tsaka tinawag ko sa bank wala naman daw limit. T_T

I tried using a debit card. EastWest Bank debit card siya na may logo ng VISA. Hindi nag work. "Unexpected failure" yung lumabas. So pina authorize ko yung malaking transaction kasi may 50k maximum limit pag online. Pero hindi padin gumana.

So mukang hindi talaga pwede ang debit card.

Ayaw n nmin ng CC. Few years back nabaon kmi sa utang dyan. Saraaap kaya gumastos ng makakatulog ka ng walang iniisip na utang. Now kelangan kumuha na nman in prep sa SS at visa apps. Pagkatapos nyan ipa terminate ulet nmin. Ayaw na nmin ng compound interest at walang kontrol n paggastos. Spend within your means ika hindi alipin at kontrolado ng plastic na papel. Just my opinion

You can use someone else's credit card to make payment. Maybe you can ask a friend or family member.

I just want to share this para sa mga walang CC like me na nagkakaproblem sa pagbayad ng visa online. Majority ng debit cards will not work, but there is one "prepaid card" or "prepaid debit card" what ever you can call it and it was the Union Bank EON Visa Electron Card. Though i can borrow CC from gsomeone and pre pay that card before paying, i still give shot to that EON card since it will be my own card. So after 1 day application, i got my card, deposit the money and asked the branch to increase the online transaction limit for my card and presto, my problem was solve... so before if majority says that debit cards are not working... not anymore :-) So hopefully this helps future applicants... to check for the EON card, just go to the Union Bank website for more details...

I just want to ask if you paid your fee in Australian dollar or in peso? Ung sa akin kc partner visa $ 4,630, so dpat nsa around 170 thou pesos lng un pag na convert. pero pag pnapakita sa diac site in peso, P190,600. Nakakalito.

@joy_j Hello mam. Via peso po ung payment ko. Usually, estimates lang ung nasa DIAC, if you going to compute nga, lalabas na Php 41 = AUD $1 ung conversion. Pero in my case, what I did was to follow yung amount muna na nakalagay sa DIAC and sinobrahan ko pa kasi alam nyo naman na may mga transaction fees, etc pa ung mga banks... My application cost 236K for me and my wife so I deposit around 240k in the bank. Pero before I do the payment, I asked the bank to allow me to have an online transaction limit of 250k. When I successfully completed my payment, i called up the bank to check the transaction on my account and was surprised to know that the charge was only 202k! I guess just to be safe, if you can put 200k in the card, that will be fine. Anyway, the card also acts as ATM so you can withdraw ung sobra sa payment. Ako kasi, since Electron Visa sya, i decided to leave ung sobra so pede ko sya gamitin in the future like purchasing the plane ticket going to AU once granted or to buy goods... @joy_j pede na po by cash un kung san kayo papamedical... 4250 po ung cost ng medicals as long as walang pinaulit...

@Andoy31 mas ok talaga kung me CC kaya lang sa tulad namin na wala, why not ung prepaid card? Saka matagal ang processing pag kumuha ng CC unlike sa EON Card na 1 day processing lang hehehe pero un nga sayang ang points... pede pa nila increase credit limit mo pag nagkataon

if wala then yeah there are other means, it's just that if you have the money and have the cc - use the cc then pay it in full para walang finance charges and you get to benefit from the miles and/or points.
