most definitely yes... graduates of Section 1 schools (like UP) have degrees equivalent to AQF Bachelor degree...

but to be sure, include the educational qualification in your assessment. (this is separate fee for EA assessment).. this will be your proof for claiming 15 pts,
Hi @lock_code2004. I just want to make sure if I get this correctly.

How do we include the educational qualification in the assessment?

    I understand that there's a fee for
    (1) Standard skills assessment (CDR) which is $698.5
    (2) and Australian Engineering Qualification which is $176

Pero dun sa Migration Skills Assessment form hindi nakalagay sa Assessment Specification table yung assessment ng Educational Qualification. How do we indicate that we want the Educational Qualification to be assessed?Or automatic na ba yun? Medyo nagulumihanan ako.

Here's the link to the form:
    http://www.engineersaustralia.org.au/sites/default/files/shado/About Us/Migration Skills Assessment/cdr_application_form_july2014.pdf

Thanks! And sorry I think this should be posted on the EA Assessment thread.

@mjcrena Hi, IE here. Tulad sa Philippines, maraming industry naman na may IE work. Sa friends ko na IE merong IT, Purchasing at Logistics.

Background ko sa Pilipinas is Demand Planning so most ng mga na-interview akong position is for Allocator or Demand Planner. Like the others say, importante sa mga company dito ang prior experience, gusto nila pagstart mo di ka na masyado tuturuan.

Yung nakuha kong work though is not directly related sa industry or role ko before pero parehong skills ang ginagamit.

Hi everyone. I've been reading this forum since 2012 but finally decided to create an account just now. I wanted to share my timeline of my 476 journey and other concerns. :))

    Here goes:
    17 May 2014 - IELTS Exam
    29 May 2014 - IELTS Results(L=7, R=8, W=7, S=7)
    02 June 2014 - Lodged Application for Visa 476 (Graduation date - 05 June 2012)
19 June 2014 - CO Allocation, request for NBI Clearance and Medical Exam
    23 June 2014 - NBI Clearance
    04 July 2014 - Medical Exam - St. Luke's BGC
    09 July 2014 - Visa Granted - IED: 2015 May 29

It was a pretty smooth process for me, so thanks to other 476ers who shared their experiences here. It's proven to be helpful!

Ongoing plan is to save up more money pa and decide which area/region best to go to given my credentials and skills, and of course find employment.

I was initially set on moving by April 2015 but after reading more about visa 189, I wanted to plan as early as now for it. Nakakainis kasi na hindi pa umabot un IED ko sa 3rd year ko sa work (02 June 2015) so I can claim the 5 pts once assessed by EA para sa preparation for 189. Currently kasi, I'm estimating I only have 55 pts (Age-30 pts, English Language Ability-10 pts, Qualification/Education-15 pts). I'm thinking of possible solutions to get at least 60pts the soonest, I hope you can help me decide on which is the best course of action or if you have better suggestions rin.

Option A: File VL in current work, fly to AUS and return to MNL before IED (29 May 2015), probably week before that, for the sake na hindi ma-invalidate yun 476. Then I file resignation by June(3 years work experience) and fly back again to AUS. (Controllable option but expensive)

Option B: Retake IELTS and get 8 in all modules. (Depends on the result but cheaper)

So far, yun pa lang naiisip ko. Or am I thinking too much ahead of time? :D

    Thanks!

Hi @nexus. Correct me if I'm wrong. With regard to Option A, which I prefer over the other, going back to Manila before nor after IED will neither invalidate your Visa. What is important is you enter Australia before IED. Btw, what is you occupation?

Hi @nexus. You can take the NAATI accreditation test for paraprofessional translator/interpreter. Costs around 600+ AUD. It will give you 5 pts. Most 476ers, if not all, do that. Or if you are willing and able to pay for Professional Year, that will be a better option. Not only will it give you the 5pts you need but will also get you better chances of landing an engineering job in Oz. You can get more details of these at http://www.immi.gov.au/Visas/Pages/189.aspx.

Hi, everyone! :) question: I just lodged my application for visa subclass 476 last April 1. I made a mistake by listing my parents and siblings in the "non-migrating dependents" when in fact they aren't. Do you think. I have to correct it or leave it as is? Please help. Any comment will be appreciated.

    Hello guys,

I need your help. Gusto ko na kasi i-lodge yung application ko this June (or May), kaso wala pa yung results ng IELTS ko. I could wait for the results kaso ma-eexpire na yung eligibility ko to apply for the visa subclass 476 this June 2015. Would you know kung puwede na i-lodge ko na yung application ko without the IELTS result, to follow na lang yun?

Anyway, kung hindi talaga puwede, I think I would take TOEFL instead. I heard that TOEFL is more difficult? Meron po bang nag TOEFL dito na puwede nya i-share experience nya? Hehe.

Please help me guys. Thanks in advance!

The results of the ielts usually come out 13days after you take the test, so even if you wait for it (assuming youve taken the test), you should still have time to lodge before your eligibility expires.

What i might do if i were in your situation is i'll lodge the visa application 2-3 days before my eligibility expires.

@iammaxwell1989... Sorry, expiration pala ng eligibility ko ay May 2015. Kasi I graduated June 2013. Di na ako magtetake ng ielts, pte na lang, 5 days lang kasi may results na at puwede pa magbook kahit few days before the exam.

    Hi everyone!

If you've lodged your visa 476 with all the requirements attached, will a case officer still be assigned to you? or it will directly go through visa acceptance/rejection na?

hello guys, question po. I was trying to lodge my visa 476 application a while ago. But I can't see the option where I can attach the required docs. Will I be able to see it after I submit and paid the application?

@aueno, paano ka po nag-attach ng docs? Wala akong makitang option eh..

@aueno a case officer will be assigned to evaluate all application following standards. If you have attached all the necessary docs and will not require further documentations, he/she can immediately give the decision
