Just a recommendation, don't close your bank account sa sg para magamit nyo ung debit/credit card pag umuuwi ng Pinas. Dito kc may international charge pag ginamit mo ung card overseas e.

@jaero - take note that the charges for purchase made overseas are embedded in the FX rates; tingnan mo versus actual spot rate, there should be around 3% increase making the conversion a bit more expensive. :)

Definitely there are ways to remit from AU to SG - the question nalang is how much would it cost... :)

Not sure kung merong nang thread about this...
Meron na ba sa inyong nakapagrenounce ng SPR and nag-withdraw ng CPF then dinala yung CPF amount to AU?

I was wondering lang kung Pay2Home ba ang ginamit n'yo or Overseas Fund Transfer sa bank?
And sisingilin pa ba ng ATO ng tax yung CPF na ipapasok sa AU kahit na ngayon palang titira dun at maghahanap ng work?

    Thanks po!

@jcgagni - congratulations on planning to renounce you SPR; it means at least kahit papaano, you will have some amount to sustain on whilst establishing yourself here in Australia.

I used bank transfer before from DBS back in late 2012 - they have a fee that depends on the amount that you sent.

ATO tax? nope... wala naman to - this is your money naman eh and it is not considered earnings per se. sa amin before, we move a relatively big chunk from SG to CBA. We just paid for the tax on the interest portion of our money at the end of the financial year.

    Hope this helps!

You can use the pay2home method..flat rate of 20SGD kahit na magkanong amount to AU bank account..pag renounce mo ng PR mo, credit it to your SG bank account..in my case sa DBS..then fund transfer sa pay2home and remit to my NAB account that simple and swift..un lang may online limit fund transfer lang from your SG account to 3rd party unless you gonna fill-out a form and forward it to the bank para mas mataas na amount ma transfer mo..or you can do fund transfer for daily until then inform pay2home that you'll be transfering more (and the total amount) which they will hold for 7 days..
