APPLYING AS A NURSE IN AUSTRALIA

Lady_ElleLady_Elle SydneyPosts: 36Member
Hello po!

Registered Nurse po ako sa Pinas with 1 and a half yr experience si birthing home as DR Nurse. Im here po ngayon sa Australia nka student visa. Yung plan ko po is mag apply as a nurse dito sa Oz. I'm currently taking Bachelor of Business in Management. While doing that po, kmuha ako ng Certificate III in Health Aide. After ko pong mag work placement, nkakita po ako ng Agency na nag hanap skn ng Employer. Ang mga Aged Care facilities po dito ay impressed tlaga sa mga pinoy, so I was given a permanent fulltime position po kaagad. If you want the Agency Manager's Contact details, PM niyo lang po ako. My next plan po is kukuha ng Occupational English Test (OET), if you need po the material I can sell mine when I'm done with it po. After that, magpapa-assess na po ako sa AHPRA, with the help of the same Agency. If ma approve po akong mag bridging, the agency has a very good offer din po ng IRON Course (Internationally Recognised Overseas Nurse Course) po which is also known as Bridging course for Nurses. I'll refer you po if interested kayo pra mas ma accommodate po kayo. We're in good terms po nang Manager. If you need further info. please dont hesitate to send me a message. thanks! God Bless!

@Lady_Elle, Hi po. kmusta po, i read your thread above and find it very inspiring. I would like to ask for your help, kasi yung wife ko is a nurse and we already have our PR visa on subclass 190, ako yung primary, and actually we dont have any idea how she can work as a nurse there. Currently we are in Dubai, and will be moving in Oz by September. I would really appreciate if you can guide us how she can work as a nurse sa Oz. what are the documents she needs to secure and do before leaving permanently Dubai.

    Thanks in advance.

For nurse... Ielts 7 in all bands
    Get docs assess by aphra
Docs ok then look for bridging school
    Pass bridging
Get registration as rn with aphra
    Licensed then job hunting!
    More experience better chances.
Public hospital pays so much better with good benefits like salary packaging and good superannuation (retirement fund)
Don't study those english courses just pass the ielts or oet. Don't study caregiving or a.i.n.... RN is so much better. So easy to move jobs and get p.r.
Don't get an agency...do it on your own. Aphra is so efficient. Everything is very transparent and on the internet lng.

@vibmanacap get employment certificates..pay here is based on level of experience. Try to google pay scale for nurses. Nsw pays higher than victoria. And remote areas pay higher than cities.
    Get police clearance from dubai
    Vaccination records
The usual docs.. Diploma/tor / ielts score of 7
References... Like magpa alam sa manager na gawin reference for work later. As early as now do the steps i posted sa previous posts.
RN are paid good here. Mga kasama ko british says pay in au (pubIic hospitals) better than the u.k. Tapos may pr na kayo...easy to get a bridging school and even job later!!!
Basta WAG mag agency/consultantcy to process papers mag google lng aphra for nurses.
If RN na kayo..ok na mag apply sa nursing agency lng mediserve etc. parang bureau nursing sya...you work in different hospitals. It pays really well think 50-60/ hour PERO not much benefits and work is not regular so mas ok pa din sa hospitals then pang second job na lng yung agency.

    Sa seek.com.au po @dadedidodu17

@Charmgeil0325, may RN experience ka ba? Unfortunately, since BSN grad ka, RN pathway mo, not EN. Kung gusto mo maging EN, back to study ka pero this not the path that you should take. Magpapa assess ka sa AHPRA as RN, kase kung EN inapplyan mo, hahanapan ka nila ng evidence that you graduated as an EN. I am sure walang ganyan sa Pinas. And since RN nga ang aapplyan mo, magpoprovide ka ng evidence na may experience ka as RN.
