Hi everyone. Newbie here. Thanks for this thread. Sobrang nakakagana. My partner kasi has applied to the US as physical therapist. Okay naman pero being clingy to each other eh parang natatagalan kami na kailangan mag citizen muna sya dun before nya ako ma petition as fiancee. Di rin kami pwede Canada kasi yung experience nya volunteer work, kailangan dun paid work experience. Babaw lang we just want to be together, 13.5 years na kami. Living together for almost four years. Single kami pareho. Thanks.

@PTwife hi, welcome! to answer your question, ang alam ko kasi dapat paid work experience ang needed kaya nirerequire minsan ung payslip or ITR as proof. although, maybe some of the guys here can clarify that expecially for Physical Therapist case..

by the way, bakit di nalang ikaw ang magtry mag apply? if your job is still included in list then i don't think there will be any problem if ikaw ang maging primary applicant. dapat lang malagpasan mo ung IELTS :) hehe

Hi, @bernaabad, thank you for replying. I can't apply because though I have more years in work experience than her, sadly, my job is not included in the list. Siguro, go na lang kami sa US, and if we can't wait for five or six years to be together, maybe we can move to Oz after 3 years in the United States? I will check more on that. So there. Anyway, hindi rin kasi namin masyado gusto sa U.S. it's too far and hindi as solid as Aus and Canada ang gay rights. Thanks.

@PTwife ahh uu may bridging program nga akong naririnig. I think parang magaaral ulit? pero at the same time pwede mag work. may separate forum un dito, maybe you can check it out :)

mahirap talaga mag kalayo at nakaka inspire ung stories ng couples who made it even if long distance. maybe search ka ng ibang option na pwede. there's always opportunity :)

    Wow!! welcome everybody...

Dati pa po akong member dito and now I am in Sydney na, halos one year na...
Walang ganitong thread before about De FActo visa (or so I thought) so I came here alone without my partner (ignorant kse)...pero wala pang one year and nung nakapag-odd job ako, lahat ng ipon ko I spent to get my partner sa Pinas...we have lodged everything na via an agent and now, after almost 7 months, still waiting for her VISA grant.

I am so happy at marami na tayong mga in-a-same-sex-relationship aspiring for the Australian dream...

EB tayo soon kung marami rami na tayo here... :)

I know, sobrang mahal...and yes, you can lodge it by yourself...that is, kung walang complications sa part nyo and lahat maaassure nyo na magiging smooth flowing...

Sa akin kse, aside sa tamad ako at walang time, medyo may complications sa part nya...

    Sino ma magmmigrate na dito??

kung magkasama na kayo in a house and living as partners for at least 12 years, if you can backread here, it will be a better idea na isabay mo na sa application si partner mo. Mas matagl kase ang waiting time pag partner's visa and mas mahal.

I suggest backread ka dito sa thread (it's only 6 pages), maraming tips and scenarios that will greatly help you in your application. Goodl uck!

@fyi_12 Hi thanks for sharing your experience. your situation is quite similar to ours. un defacto partner ko was invited for 189 visa, and it was lodged last Sep 14 (paid at 3600aud).

tanong ko lang po kasi nakapaglodge na siya ng application 189 visa and nabayaran na niya,eh ngayon lang namin nakita na pwede pala iinclude ako as defacto dependent. akala namen kasi un Partner Visa un only approach, eh pwede rin pala isama na ngayon palang. as of today, wala pa namang Case Officer assigned.

    1. Nilagay pala niya is never married hindi de facto sa application..plan naming fill up yung form form 1022 to correct this information and additionally, form 1436 to add me as secondary applicant, ganito rin ba un ginawa nyo?

    3. Medical Health and Police Clearance lang ba ung kailangan for me (same kami ng dependent mo na ndi natapos un college...)?

    1. Sure ako hindi pa ko nagbayad nun binago ko yun application ko from single-never married to de facto. Kase isang beses lang kami nag bayad nun eh.

    2. if I remember correctly, nasa 1,800 AUD yun additional payment for my partner.

    3. Tama si red, in addition to the usual requirements na medical, police clearance (NBI lang sa partner ko kase hindi naman sya nag stay sa ibang bansa for more than 12 months), nag pasa din kami diploma nya Grade School and High School saka certificate from the university na nag attend sya ng school there for the a specified dates. TOR nya nun College, saka certificates from all schools na English yun medium of instruction. Nun una, college lang yun sinama namin sa application pero hiningan kami more evidences, kaya ayun kumuha kami sa grade school and high school nya.

tapos need din ng evidences ng partnership nyo..statutory declarations nyong 2 about your relationship, etc.

    @dmnsantos
almost 3 years nun nag lodge ng application.

    salamat po in advance!

1 wala namang standard format yung pinagawa namin pinasulat lang namin is yung statement kung pano nya nakilala si partner, kelan kami naging friend, what can she say about our relationship.
2 passport and signature email and phone number ang inaatach namin
    hope this helps..:)

Hi elord. I'm not sure if the rules have changed, but when my partner and I applied for de facto partner status, we needed to provide stamped documents to prove that we have been co-habiting for a minimum of 1 year continuous by the time the visa application starts.

So based on your situation, I would say that would be the biggest roadblock given that you have been in an LDR relationship.

Also, by definition, de facto is a couple living together. I think that is critical, because, when you think about it, if any relationship can be considered a de facto relationship, kahit yung mga magbf-gf lang ng isang taon (not co-habiting) pwede na mag apply for visa as de facto partners. This makes it a risk na people will just partner up for the sake of a visa and go their separate ways once naka land na sila sa AU.

That said, it won't hurt to try and see how far your application will go, so I would still say go and try to apply especially if funding the visa application processing is not an issue.

    Good luck! :)

hi all, tanong lang po sa mga nasa OZ na... any benefits/allowance ba sa defacto partnerships? sa centrelink and medicare? or considered single parin yung status?

    thanks in advance.

@Stidleyfied Hi! It depends on the state where you plane to stay. Some states recognize de facto partnerships once registered with the Dept of Births, Deaths and Marriages (or what ever counter part other states have) and once recognized, benefits are also made available.

    salamat po in advance!
If the statement is made in PH, it should be notarised affidavit not stat dec. Unless otherwise AU-made statement sya eh stat dec tlga.

    Passport lang.

And if u need any sample ng PH affidavit or stat dec marami sa internet. As in madami.

    Hope this help.

Hi All, tanong po kung meron sa inyo in a Long Distance Relationship and was able to have visa grant for de facto...13 years na po kami ng partner ko pero nasa manila sya and sa Kuala Lumpur ako..pero every 3-4 months po ang visit nya dito sa KL to stay with me for a week or two...wala din po kaming joint account so worry po ako sa financial aspects ng relationship..Hope to hear inputs from you guys..I really want to start a life together with my partner in AU after years of LDR
Though nagsama kami for more than a year, wala kaming ganitong proof so immediately gumawa kami at pinasign namin sa landlord. Even the monthly rental receipt kami gumawa. In short, alam mo na ang gagawin... Ehehe

In terms of financial evidence, wala din kmi sinubmit na joint account.

    Hope these help.

@mhej , thanks po . I decided not to include po muna partner ko baka madeny po both applications naming...mag apply na lang po muna sya ng student visa then while studying sa AU don na lang po kami magsama to meet the min 12 months.
Hi. Tingin ko ung magiging problem nyo is ung 1yr continued living in. U just have to tell the C.O kung anung uri ng relationdship nyo. Naniniwala kc aq na even though very standard sila sa rules, ookay pa din sila sa LDR nyo. 13yrs of LDR isnt a joke.

@lester_lugtu thanks po for the very positive advise...this gives me a 2nd thought of including my partner in my application...anyway, i think worst case is kahit ma-deny sya, wala naman po sa tingin kong valid reason na pati ako madedeny for my 189 visa
