Guys! Mag share lng ako senyo. Pare sa new work ko. Bad trip yung nag turn over. Grabe iba. Bruha pare. Kala ko indian ng una pero sri langkan pala. Ang siste pag mag turo (if that would be teaching)

Pabalang. Eto senarios:
1) after a session showing me a how to. Nag tanong ako isa. Eto sagot:
I tought you were an expert on this? Let me see you notes. Dont you have there? So you wont ask me again.

2) senario 2. May nagsend sa kanya ng issue from ap. D daw marecieve ang goods from sap. Pinasa agad saken cc boss.
sabi in the future queries ako na tanung (this was just my 2nd day)
Aba nung nag try ako resolve pinuntahan ko na ap.
namputa io issue pala na d naman nya tinuro. Para akong tanga trying to resolve it ending cya din titira na papamukha nya na d ko alam.
reasoning nya para daw matututo ako.

Last. Pare mga before lunch. Dinig ko asa phone. Nampota ako topic. (English salita eh)
Kesyo this new guy daw trying to look smart chuva. ( kung alam nyo lng nagiinit ulo pero kept my cool) halatang my issues sa life.

anyway things will get better once fully ko na mahawakan yung accounts. I won't let her get me down.

advice lng guys sa mag punta dito at magwork.madameng ahas. Pero the rewards are indeed great.

Naku ganyan ang mga lahi yan... Kaya ako nagresign sa current work ko kasi micromanagement ako 2 months ko syang deadma mas lalong nag init ang ulo sa kin. Nireklamo ko sa HR manager namin binigyan sya ng first warning. Sabi nga ni @wizardofOz bayad ka naman eh kahit mag-over work ka or just finished your task. Ikaw lang ang ma-stress pagpapansinin mo sila.

Swertihan lang siguro yan .... sa akin kasi wala namang nangyayari na ganyan although yung ka-officemate kong sri-lankan napag iinitan nung business analyst ( caucasian siguro ) namin at chinu chuchu nya yung oras ng pag dating sa office at pag uwi pati yung breaks nya .... tapos tinatanong nya ako kung ako daw sinisita e sabi ko inde naman ...

sa mga ganyan sitwasyon kailangan laging kalma staka na mag pasaway pag tapos ng 6 months or probi period

I have to put my opinion here.

I have been working overseas for 9 years now from UAE, Bahrain, Qatar then Aus (oooh, tagal na pala). Unfortunately each country is categorised. Indians, Sri Lankans, Pakistanis, Filipinos etc. There are common things they do (not ALL but MOST).

I have the same experience as @athenalady14 and i believe friends also. Again, NOT all but MOST.

Don't worry @TasBurrfoot and @JCsantos Filipinos have their bad traits too and steroytyped as well. I think ang complaint nila sa atin is mukhang mayabang and some are.

I 100% disagree. I have been in Abu Dhabi for 8 years and most of my co-workers would tell me that Filipinos are friendly, easy to get along, funny and humble.

Kaya nga lagi nilang bungad sa conversation,

"are you filipino? I have lots of friends who are filipino, and then the list goes on and on"

and lagi ko rin napapansin na gusto nilang maging kaibigan ang mga pinoy.

Well thats my experience in the middle east.

Yep. Because they are threatened. Yan yung mga naghahanap ng butas. I over hear things about different ethnicity but I always give them the benefit of the doubt. I met and worked with the good ones too.

At the end of the day, I guess you just have to put up with the BS or move on. You'll meet that odd one in every company.

I was in Dubai for 4 years (traveling to Qatar, Bahrain for a few weeks in between) and going 5 in Australia. I heard they LOVE Noypis in Qatar and Bahrain.

Let us not name names (nationalities, ethnicity, etc)... para walang problema.

If we have a problem with someone, let's try na i-share na lang natin yung experience with regards to that person and his actions.. hindi yung lalahatin na buong lahi nila..

Sensitive natin mga Pinoy sa ganyan kapag tayo ang nagegeneralize na napipintasan, pero kapag tayo magbitaw ng salita sa ibang lahi hindi na muna nag-iisip.

@TasBurrfoot: wow sorry naman. racist agad! and typical pinoy???.. what you're saying isn't it being a racist too? unfortunately wala na akong nakilalang sri lankans and the people I worked with that office had same attitudes. I was just venting out my experiences with them. Understand the context of my post as I was sharing the same experience with @SYD_CPA.

This is a forum to help out each other and not to judge or put down each other even if we are just using codenames here and the fact that we dont know each other. I believe we are all educated here kasi di naman tayo makarating dito sa Au kung hindi, unless otherwise. So next time before po tayo magcomment ng against sa kapwa pinoy natin make sure lng po natin na malinis tyo at hindi nagmamalinis lng.. cc: @JCsantos

I feel u and i know a lot of people who feel the same way as u do. u may have bad experience with them but of course not all are the same. we can never generalise people just because of their nationality

Who knows maybe your colleagues also had the same bad experience with Filipinos.

Observation ko lang naman, people or human-beings, generally have a “discriminating” attitude… I don’t know if we are hard-wired that way.

Basta kakaiba sa kulay natin, pananalita, pananamit, galaw, pati amoy… we begin to perceive it negatively or as a threat in totality.

Like yung isang study na pinapipili yung mga bata kung anong gusto nilang manika between a “white” and “black” baby doll… most of the subjects seemed to gravitate towards the white doll, and appeared to perceive that doll as more “beautiful” and “nicer”.

The point is, wala namang nagturo doon sa mga bata kung anong manika ang dapat piliin, yet they inertly know how to discriminate.

Pero dyan na papasok yung educating ourselves about Equality, whether about Race, Gender, or Sexuality… We are all equals…

Also, I would just like to share that calling someone “racist” does not do anything for anyone… for you and for the person you tagged as racist.

Mas maganda if one way or another, we educate that “racist” person, as we have educated ourselves - not to be racist.

my boss is sri lankan, my 3 other officemates in finance dept are all sri lankans. in fact, 5 lang kmi sa dept, all lankans except me. pero never ko na feel na iba ko sa kanila. in fact we are best of friends, para din silang pinoy kung makisama, at magagaling din silang magtrabaho. for sure meron ding kalahi nila na unacceptable ang ugali, sa ibang dept namin meron ding pinoy na sobrang sama ng ugali, kaya wala yan sa nationality. dubai-based nga pla ko
