I'm also looking for a better way to transfer funds from PH to AU. I tried bank transfer from BPI to NAB but I was disappointed with the spread of the exchange rate used. BPI also doesn't provide any visibility into the fees charged by intermediary banks during the transfer (this is on top of the flat rate quoted on their website).

You could try Peramax and Nitibo but I have no experience with them at the moment and can't comment/vouch for them yet as I haven't tried them.

    Buhayin ko lang to.
How do you remit money from Pinas to AU (bank to bank)?
Sa BDO daw kasi, they convert it from PHP to USD to AUD. Lugi yun.

Ayoko naman ata magdala ng ganun kalaki in cash.

Sa discovery center ang office nila. Tapat ng podium. Yep, mas ok. Bale ganto ginawa ko. Pumunta ako office nila then after nun pumunta ako bank para mag deposit sa account ng iremit. Bale dinala ko lang atm ko then nag over d counter ako sa bpi then dep na sa account ng iremit. Hapon nako nakapagdeposit so d following day pa nila nadeposit yung money sa account n hubby. Then the following day pumasok na sa account n hubby yung money.

Try forexworld. $8 lang per transaction regardless of the amount, basta sa major banks sa Philippines ita-transfer. Very competitive din rates nila. In 2-3 hours or less, credited na funds. Yun nga lang they only have NAB and BOQ if you want to do online funds transfer. You can also do it via other banks but it will take hours or day to clear the funds bank to bank.

hi @kremitz, pede magtanong about this, I've done research and your approach looks to be the best way. un 10AUD charge is from iRemit, what about the the receiving bank, for example let's say you have NAB, me separate charges pa rin ba un?

Are you still using this approach when sending money from PH to AU?

@kremitz ganito ginawa ko today. So after ko punta sa i-remit main office at discovery suites along ADB Avenue (tapat ng the podium mall, helera ng sm megamall) to apply (submit din copies of 2 valid IDS, and source of income pero sabi ko student ako so savings/passbook dala ko) then nagcompute na kame ng rate +10AUD .so nagdeposit lang ako sa bpi iremit account and after 3 days pasok na yun sa NAB classic account ko(which i opened online, see migrant banking option). Pero not sure kung magkano charge pagbasak ng pera sa Australia.I will let you know king magkano pagdating ko dun.my flight is on Monday(20th June) evening and will arrvlive next day at Adelaide.

Nag-telegraphic transfer naman din ako sa BDO since may extra USD pa si ermats,so 10USD charge ni BDO/transaction.this option is okay if you USD,yung hindi ka na bibili sa kanila para mas tipid.

At dahil huli na ng malaman ko na banks and Iremit do not accept AUD as deposit, maghahand carry tuloy ako sa byahe.bumili kase agad kame ng AUD.

@alfonso31 When you created your bank account they should've given you the SWIFT code and the BSB of the Westpac branch. Most AU banks have their SWIFT codes on their website. You get the BSB and the account number on your internet banking page.

You give those codes to your PH bank so they can do a remittance/wire transfer (BPI calls it "outward remittance") to your Westpac account.

@alfonso31 Incoming money transfers to AU you need SWIFT/BIC code, BSB (this is a 6-digit code) and account number.

Walang IBAN sa Australia. BIC and SWIFT same thing yan.

If walang field sa form ng bank mo for BSB, lagay mo siya sa "sort code" or "others"
