    ^ wala namang minimum...maximum sa kanila A$10,000 of mixed currencies tapos kung lagpas kailangan na i-declare..medyo madugo siya kaya wag na lang kayo magdadala ng sobra sobrang pera sa wallet hehe.

    Dun sa minimum, napansin ko sa palabas, random yung financial check nila at paghihinalaan ka nila kung wala kayong matutuluyan so make sure everything is booked prior to departing to Australia :)

    sa sydney airport lang ba yan? ung dito sa brisbane, madami silang signs warning you about the food na dala mo with trash cans provided so you can dispose them.
    Alam ko mejo di ko alam kung ideclare ko ung vitamins at household na gamot (biogesic, alaxan, kremil-s, pati fern C at may glutathione pa ata) na pinaglalagay ni mama sa bag ko, tapos sabi sa akin ng katabi kong singaporean hindi naman ung pine-pertain dun sa card, so hindi ko sya nilagay, pinalusot naman ako so far.

    yung isang international student dito from thai, brisbane airport din, nagdala sya ng coffee, pero since first time lang nya, hindi na sya pinafine. ung isang taga south africa naman, pumayag nalang syang itapon ung mga face cream nya etc...

    I often talk to people here who are furious because items have been confiscated that are readily available in Filo shops around Sydney.
    In some cases its a bit laughable (Coca Cola in glass bottles etc), but much of the Filipino products you get here are not the same as back home. Prime examples are things like Magnolia Icecream, Boy Bawangs and Clover Chips.
    All look (and taste) identical to back home, but all are made differently for our market. This is also the reason why sometimes it is hard to source.
    Its annoying for people, but this is the reasoning behind it should it happen to anyone here.
    Aussie government is a weird one. One minute they ban fish with heads, then they forget it.
    Last year we had all Pure Foods banned, along with Efficascent Oil, Ding Dongs and other items.
    All have now managed to return, while they have banned Barrio Fiesta.

    Hate to tell anyone thinking of coming to this country. It is annoying from the moment you land, and only gets worse the longer you stay here. :-(

    They are just protecting Australia from unwanted things (disease, drugs, criminals...) from coming in their land. I actually like that kind of governance --feels more secured to live in a place like that. If you want an exact opposite of Australia, look no further! hehehe :D

    hello! i will be coming to AU this september. ask ko lang po if advisable magdala ng 1-2 months supply ng toiletries (e.g. shampoo, conditioner, soap, toothpaste), lotion and over the counter medicines like biogesic, etc? kelangan po ba ito ideclare upon arrival? gusto po sna namin makatipid kc especially on our first month there habang nghahanap ng work. thanks po ng marami sa makakapag-advice. :)

    Hi! I just want to share my recent travel experience in Australia. Grabe! Na-border security ako buti na lang walang camera! Hindi siguro makapaniwala ang border security police sa mga sagot ko mag-totour lang ako sa Australia. Hindi ako pinadaan ng scanner before exiting, pinatabi ako sa pila then dinala ako sa corner, then chineck ang luggage ang hand carry bag ko, pati na rin messages ko sa blackberry ko. Waaahhh!!! Palagay ko nabasa rin mga comments dito sa Pinoyau. Nag-comment yung police, ''you're getting information about Australia", wala naman siguro masama doon kaya yun lang nasabi nung police. Then siguro nabasa yung mga messages ng friends ko, then finally sabi nung police na girl 'She's not..." Akala cguro me dala ako na kung anong illegal. Grabe ang mga tanong. "Who paid for your ticket? Who packed up your bag? Do you know what are the things in your bag?" Ni ayaw ipahawak sa akin ang bag ang blackberry ko. Then nung bubuksan na yung zipper sa bottom ng luggage, grabe suspense na dahan-dahang binuksan, akala naman nila me makikita sila doon, e wala naman. Haaay, then na-convince ng girl na police yung lalaking police na okay naman ako, siya pinag-impake ko ng gamit ko. Hirap kaya magbalik ulit ng gamit sa bagahe. Haaayy!!! Akala ko kung ano na mangyayari sa akin doon. Thanks God at natapos ko naman ang 10-days tour ko doon. I enjoyed it very much. Grabe sa lamig doon lalo na sa Melbourne at Surfers Paradise sa Gold Coast.

    @gemini23 : saang airport po yan? sa Melbourne po ba? last year when I visited Australia din, sa Melbourne ang entry namin ng wife ko. basta habang nakapila kami dun sa may customs, nagulat na lang kami parang nagkakagulo...biglang naglabasan madaming pulis na may dalang mga aso. tapos, parang pinipili din nila kung sino ang ihohold nila...at napili kami! ayun, pinapasok kme sa isang room...pinalinya kme lahat dun. tapos pina-drop lahat ng dalang gamit and pina-step back kami...tapos pinadaan nila mga aso nila para amuyin lahat ng gamit namin. after nun, pinalabas na kme at wala naman ginawa sa amin. feeling ko baka minalas lang tayo ng timing at during that time baka natiktikan sila na merong illegal stuff na idadaan sa kanila. kinabahan ako pero buti wala naman ibang pinagawa sa amin. unang pumasok sa isip ko nung hinarang kami e baka may bias sila sa mga pinoys. pero pagpasok naman namin dun sa room e iba-iba kaming lahi. mostly asians pero meron din caucasians. wala lang...share ko lang. :)
