From what i know, you can only get the 5 points if you have the NAATI accreditation.
Also, the application and testing fee is very expensive..

I tried to research on this pero naguluhan ako sa website ng NAATI. Haha. I read from other forum na mahirap din yung exam nila. Parang sobrang lalim na tagalog. Haha. :) try the search button on this forum baka nadiscuss na somewhere dito.

@eric_402 if you are referring to "cert of filipino as a medium of instructions" from your university, i think that would not work.. Kasi they are looking for "credentialed evidence"..

    See below information from NAATI:

NAATI Accreditation may be obtained in five ways:
    a) Passing a NAATI accreditation test
    b) successful completion of a course of studies in translation and/or interpreting at an Australian institution as approved by NAATI
    c) providing evidence of a specialised tertiary qualification in translation and/or interpreting obtained from an educational institution overseas
    d) providing evidence of a membership of a recognised international translating and/or interpreting professional association
    e) providing evidence of advanced standing in translating or interpreting.

Everyone is on learning curve with Skillselect right now kaya kung maagap ka at mabilis, mauunahan mo rin ang mga iba :D

hi all, i claimed the 5 points for community language by submitting a certificate from my high school saying that Filipino was taught the whole time and the medium of instruction for that subject was Filipino/Tagalog. I just do not know whether I was actually given points for that. I am Brisbane-based, visa was approved on June 2011. :)

Sabihin na natin na ang na-poproduce natin na IT professional eh 5 in 100, sila eh 3 in 100, kaso 1 billion sila, tayo 100 million, tapos na laban. :)
