Hello guys! My company is sending me in our Melbourne office to train and adapt to our new business. Will be there hopefully this coming July. My apartment is located Nepean HWY, Frankston.

My questions are:

1. I know that it will be winter by the time that i set my foot in, what kind of jackets/clothes should i bring? Is trench coat okay?

2. How much is the average meal or maybe expenses a day. Im planning to go out every weekend.

3. Any fellow country men near my place?

4. Sim cards! What kind of prepaid sim that is okay/cheap to use? I want to be online always

5. Any tips you want to share?

1. Trench coat is ok, for jacket any thick jackets will do as long as it it warm enough ... depende yan sa fashion style mo , ako kasi i preferred yung parang wool on the inside

2. Average (1) meal is 8-15$ kung sa labas ka kakain

4. i would suggest Amaysin or Virgin , stay away from vodafone , you get what you pay for if you really want a good connection get a Telstra sim

5 Tips , find a good place to eat marami ito basta marunong kang maghanap ... google is your friend explore your neighborhood, best way to meet filo friends is in place of workships ( simbahan ) ito na muna wala pa akong maisip e

1. I would suggest you layer your clothes, rather than bringing 1 or 2 bulky jackets or coats, para at least hindi mukhang ulit ulit ang suot mo sa pic kapag mamamasyal ka hehe

2. I would suggest magluto ka na lang sa apartment and magbaon, makakamura ka na, baka mas masarap pa kasi alam mo na ang lasa.. medyo mahal kumain sa labas. Then kapag weekends or pasyal ka na lang bumawi.

4. May prepaid sim ang Optus ($30, with some preloaded credits), yun ang ginamit ko dati, oks naman mabilis ang 4G.

@danyan2001us first time to experience winter so i am pretty much excited about everything! I like how convenient and nicely done things here, mejo hinahap ko ng slight ung chaos hehehe.

Hi guys! Newbie here.. 2mons na kme dito sa melbourne. So far naka adjust na kame sa lamig. Pero nung 1st day namen parang ayaw namen lumabas lage lang nasa haus then on ang heater.. Pero nagulat nalang ako sa mga kids ko going to school preferred na nila is shorts and shirts and sabe pa wag na daw miag jumper..

Sa work naman, thank god and hubby is 1mon nasa work nia although hindi nia line of work (he's an EE) pero sa material planner cia ngayon eh ok naman basta may work. Im also looking for a job pero until now wala pa din.. Kasi part time lang sana kasi ako pa din nag aasikaso sa mga kids.. sayang at di pa kame PR sayang din ung mga benefits..
