    @juicyjane hello.. Sorry for my late response. I wasn't really too sure about what happened with my speaking scores in my first two pte exams. I didn't change anything on the way I practice..so I guess the exam center was one of the factor in my case. Focus on fluency and pronunciation of every word. You don't need a perfect grammar here. I have recently posted in the blog about one tip given by the other guy from another forum regarding the ideal structure of the describe image..they also mentioned about not forgetting to give conclusions as it helps increased the score. You could conclude as long as it is still within the context of the image and not coming from nowhere.

    Try to speak within 35-38 seconds. Review ielts exam net list of sample written response for ielts academic task 1.. Good luck!

    Same here 3yrs experience lang..Madali lang ang PTE :) practice lng. Kaya ang 20 points:)
    @davidan unfortunately, im too young at 3 years palang ang exp. Hehe so I need 20 points. I cant wait anymore to be free! Haha

    @kristine_1377 sa describe image paulit ulit lang ako nagpractice sa macmillan and try to summarize your thoughts kasi 40 secs lang. Di ko din nakuha lahat sa actual exam. Sa re tell lecture dapat mabilis ka mag take down ng notes then pwede mo na sya basahin after at dagdagan mo na lang..

    @julian sa makati ako nagtake, parang ako lang ang nagtake ng PTE kasi ako lang ang sa separate room. Ok sa Pearson Makati kasi ikaw lang magisa sa room.
    Yung score ko L89 R87 S79 W90. Nag macmillan lang ako then bumili ako silver na practice set.

    thank you God, was able to get the scores i needed L:84/S:90/R:89/W:87
    thanks to @filipinacpa for creating this thread and informing us about this wonderful Godsent alternative to IELTS!
    like others here I also failed to get my desired score in IELTS due to W:6.5 and re-marking did not change it, so i basically blew off 15,000...


    just want to share my experience taking the reviewing and taking the test in PTE makati:
    - for review materials used Macmillan and the zip file from PTE
    - during my review, i recorded my voice and found out that i was speaking too slowly because i compared it with PTE's zip file containing sample candidate answers (my speed was similar to the sample candidate who was judged to be slow and hesistating)
    - i adjusted my speed according to the sample candidate who was judged to be a good speaker
    - i continued doing the voice recording until i was comfortable with the speed, pronunciation and focus (don't overthink the sentence, just read it so I won't stumble)

    At Makati PTE branch:
    - you can only arrive 30mins BEFORE the exam, if you arrive earlier than that you will be asked to go down and wait in the ground floor lobby which has no chairs, so you end up standing in the lobby
    - there were 6 of us, and its true that during speaking, you will hear the others talking especially the loud ones - so focus is key


    May I ask, in the EOI Skillselect form, it is asking for "Test Reference Number", to anyone who successfully submitted the EOI Skillselect, which did you provide? Is is the:
    1. PTE Test Taker ID
    2. or Registration ID

    Which one should I use?

    April 2013: ielts S8, W7, R7.5, L6.5 hays :(
    May 2013: started CDR and obtaining docs
    July 2014: Finally issued my CDR
    August 2014: EA asked for update of payment (Outdated application form :( )
    Sepetember 2014: received shortcoming letter (lacked docs)
    November 2014: Re-issued CDR having addressed shortcomings
    December 2014: Received positive outcome :) Prof. Engr (Elec Engr)
    February 2015 : ielts W6.5, R6.5, L6.5 S7.5 bakit ganito?
    May 2015: ielts W6, R8, L8.5, S7.5 susuko na ba ako?
    June 20, 2015: PTE-A L77, R84, W82, S80 God is good :)
    June 21, 2015: Submitted EOI - 65pts
    July 6, 2015: Received ITA
    July 11, 2015: lodged visa application for subclass 189.
    August 7, 2015: Finalised Medicals
    September 18, 2015: Visa Grant :)

    @zaire dami ko nga mali lalo na sa repeat sentence at describe image. May isa nga sa decribe image paulit ulit lang sinasabi ko kasi di ko alam ano about ang image.

    @julian practice lang talaga at dapat familiar ka sa type ng exam kasi mabilis ang time.
