According to VETASSESS, the assessing authority for Facilities Managers in Australia, before deciding on what occupation you should have yourself assessed with is to take a look at the job description based on ANZSCO against your own - review your previous and current job descriptions, which you can acquire from your previous and current employers. This way you have the best possible match to your job and the occupation to be assessed and get close to a positive assessment result.

@markanthonyfrial I'm interested in this thread. I'm also a property/facilities manager who is planning to migrate in Au. Though, I applied under Mechanical Engineer so my assessing authrority is EA.

@OZwaldCobblepot I think it's just fine as long as you know that your job descriptions are strongly or closely related to the ANZSCO description of the occupation you are having assessed with EA. I'm an electrical engineer but have been working as a facilities manager ever since so I went to VETASSESS to have my skills assessed as an FM, on the otherhand, you being a mechanical engineer can be assessed as an FM through VETASSESS or a Mechanincal Engineer through EA.

Given your background and experience, it won't be hard to get a positive outcome.

Kapag ba commercial building under sya sa anzsco 149913 Facilities Manager? nakalagay kasi dun specialisation shopping center nasa commercial ako sir. medyo confuse lang po. salamat po sana masagot nyo po to.

@scruz yes! Under stream 2. Kasi by the time na nakuha ko yung assessment ko biglang nagbago ang SA at ginawang special conditions apply. Nagbaka sakali lang kami ng agent ko, e buti nabigyan ng ITA
