when i was still back home, i used to work in a electronics manufacturing. But I shifted from it. First i was hired working with plc and industrial automation. Then transferred to an instrumentation company (yokogawa ). In that company I learned about safety systems engineering. I was involved in projects and assignments pertaining to instrumentation in the field of doing safety system plc code, dcs graphics for different oil and gas in singapore and for middle east company. They sent me to singapore to perform this task, and doing fat testing.
So in short, i guess qualifications would be, plc and dcs programming no how, project involvement in a instrumentation project.

Just like to mention that I finally got a job in the electronics industry. After almost four months of looking for a job related to my field, I finally got one. It is a small company and the vacant post was not an engineering role but I grabbed it anyway. God works in mysterious ways and this is my testimony. I just started working this week, September 08 - the day that Catholics celebrate the birthday of Mama Mary ^^. I have been praying the Novena to the Mother of Perpetual Help and I believe that God granted me this job because of Mama Mary's intercession and through Jesus Christ. I am also praying to St. Jude and to the 13 Blessed Souls.
Before this job, I worked for a month at a food retail store, as a kitchen hand. I quit the job and focused on finding my way through the electronics industry. Those were trying times but I realized that it strenghtened my faith in God by fervent prayers and learning the Gospels. Let go and let God! It sounds cliche, but that is what I did. God is sovereign and He is in control. We just have to act on faith!
On my second day working in the electronics company, the director called me and we had a chat. He mentioned that he would like to build me up in the technical aspects of the company since I have had engineering skills. Para akong lumulutang s ulap nung mangyari un! God is so good tlaga! Lahat ng hinihingi ko tlgng binibigay nya in His time.
I hope everyone here lands their dream job soon.
Jesus said, " ask and you shall receive, seek and you shall find, knock and the door shall be open unto you".

sa Perth po ako now and semiconductor test manufacturing po ung exact background ko...
I actually am in the electronics manufacturing company now .. i am currently doing the assembly, qa,test of our products.. there are electronics hardware R&D engineer and designer s company ko now and I am praying that I could have those skills in the future and get a job in that line as well...
I hope you already found your job by now... if ndi p nmn eh konting push pa... pwede nmn magsimula s simple bsta s same industry pa rin ^^ just work your way upward.. you have the skills i am sure there is definitely an R&D job for you out there!

About the topic, well same tyo ng industry... malabo nga dito ung mga semiconductor companies and the related jobs... i also thought need ko mag aral s TAFE or pumasok s apprenticeship program bago mkakuha ng proper job... but God is good... nkpasok ako agad s isang company in the electronics industry... i think they saw that I am really willing to learn... i only asked for an on-the-job training role or a leg in, but they hired me on the spot... you just really have to be out there ... puntahan mo ung mga electronics company around your area and show your enthusiasm ^^

Hi, just browsing through the topic and so amazed on how quick you got into the field that you want. By the way, adelaide based kami ng family ko now for 2 years and all I can is sobrang hirap magpenetrate s same industry that you were into. I have been working na as operator/technician s isang embroidery company and still trying to get into the electronics field. Though, we already decided to settle here and already building our own home but if I'll be able to get a job from other state e grab ko talaga to gain experience. Would you asking the name of the company that you are into now.

Hi! Pareho po kayo halos ng background fiancé ko. ECE din siya. worked for 1 year as a systems engineer vendor side (Azbil PH) for an oil and gas company and then working for 5 years now as maintenance engineer in Azbil SG (system programming, testing and commissioning, maintenance, rectification and repair, all the works etc) pero data centers and office buildings etc na ang client.
We are planning to migrate to Australia and we have done our due research na for visa 189 but looking for better options sana.:) Can we ask po how you went about to being hired overseas by an Australian company? Thank you very much!
