    @Liolaeus thank you for the reply. I took the ielts test thrice 2 months apart each. My scores were high like reading ko perfect score, 8 listening, 7.5 speaking, pero laging 6.5 ang wrting ko dunno why. The first time talagang nangarag ako sa oras kasi nag cr ako in between kaya nagkulang ako sa oras thats why ok lang 6.5, i expected that score but the 2nd and 3rd part i really did my best i even applied the strategies of ryan but still 6.5 :( i was losing hope and deciding to let go of migrating to AU but then i saw this thread. Sana i will ace the pte test this time.
    3 times din ako nag IELTS. PTE-A lang nag bigay sakin ng 20 pointss. Di ka nag kamali ng pag lipat sa PTE-A. For sure ma-ace mo na yan.

    Not sure if it was already mentioned in the previous post.. pero regarding sa format nang write from dictation.. I noticed lang kasi sa macmillan wala kasing ganong direction.. is it going to be 1 dictation then you'll be given some time to write your answer?

    kc dun sa macmillan 4 consecutive dictations so I was wondering kung isang derecho lang tlga cya?

    Furthermore, dun ba sa actual test ilang dictation usually? thank you and good luck to all!

    Yep, papa medical na lang ako at add ng dependent. Baka Brisbane or Melbourne kami pero ayoko pa muna isipin hangga't wala yung decision. hehe

    i-t-type mo habang dinidictate ng computer. Then need mo pa mag click ng Next button bago mag move sa next dictation.

    @warquezho oo aral tlga. july 2016 pa ako matapos. nsa $12,525/sem tuition ko tas dagdag na rin ung health insurance and daily expenses like rent, food etc. mahal nga e. but need ung 20 points sa PTE ksi 22 pa lng ako, wla experience. huhubels. maagang nkikipag sapalaran.

    Grabe pala ang tuition diyan. 1 Year kaba mag aaral? Alam ko diba pag naka 7 ka sa IELTS ba or 65 sa PTE eh pwede 3 months lang? Pag mas mababa sa score na yan eh yun ang 1 year? Guy kaba o Gal?

    Si misis kasi kung matuloy kami sa AU eh mag aaral din, pero di kopa alam buong process, pero since ako Primary applicant eh AHPRA nalang siya hehe.

    So yung study mo is for AHPRA? Kasi gusto ko PTE nalang din pakunin ko sa kanya.

    Hello, gusto ko lang magpasalamat sa mga nagbigay ng payo dito sa thread na ito, lalo na sa gumawa nitong thread. Sobrang effective ng mga tips dito at sa palagay ko sapat para makakuha ng mataas na score sa PTE.

    Tama yung payo ng ibang tao na i-familiarize ang sarili sa bawat item type para tipid sa time sa pagbabasa ng instruction. Maging conscious sa oras kasi sayang yung ibang "giveaway" items sa last part. Noong first take ko hindi ko nasagutan yung last item sa write from dictation dahil kinulang ng oras. Ayun, kinulang ng 1 point sa writing para maka-claim ng 20 points. Sayang! haha.

    Nung second take ko naging "on hold" yung status ng scores ko for 3 business days. Usually within 24 hours may result na, so normal tendency is mag-panic. Posible na may konting problema, tulad nung nag-exam ako, pinalipat ako ng computer kasi walang sound na lumalabas sa headset. Sa palagay ko nalito yung computer-checker kasi dalawang computer yung na-access ng account ko at ito yung dahilan kung bakit naging on hold yung status. Hindi na kailangan tumawag sa customer care kung within 5 business days pa naman - antay antay lang.

    Salamat ulit at good luck sa mga kukuha ng exam! :)

    ako wala. kaya nga 6 lang ako sa speaking ng ielts. During my IELTS speaking exam, nastutter pa ko at naghang for 5-8seconds. naubusan ng english. haha

    sa mga nk all 79, do you have, by any chance, any background na always ng soeak in english like call center or sa work etc? or wala tapos practice lang?
    Ako wala din, 6.5 lang ako lagi sa Speaking ng IELTS. Kahit na feeling ko ang ganda na performance ko compared sa previous tries, 6.5 pa din binibigay nila score sakin. Aminado din akong di ako magaling mag english kaya PTE-A talaga ang sagot sa English requirement natin. hehe

    Ginoogle ko kung ano yung collocations. Nahirapan ako intindihin haha. Di ko alam kung gumamit ako nun o hindi sa exam. Or baka gumamit ako pero di ko alam na ginamit ko pala.

    @jrgongon no need to learn all the collocations. just picked the words na madalas mo gamitin, mabasa at ung pwede mo magamit during exam. familiarize mo lang ung magkapartner na words. no need to memorize or stress yourself dun. just stick to your strategy. baka maapektuhan pa ung mataas mo nang scores from previous exams

    Yup wag masiyado mag focus sa collocation, magkabisa ka lang ng 4-6 collocation from PTE-A website, yan ginawa ko noon at tumaas writing ko from 1st take to 2nd take at tumaas din yung vocabulary ko. Take note na nung 2nd take ko eh 2 essay pa ako unlike nung 1st take hehehe kasi pinaulit ulit ko yung kinabisa kong collocation nun sa essay hehehe.

    Yan din hirap ko sa reading nun yung arrange paragrahps, two items lang yun sakin pero 4-5 points ata per item, pero mas madali teknik diyan basta nakuha mo pattern. Mas madami points dun sa dropdown at fill in the blanks kasi madami points per items yun at madami pa siya items. Kung talagang super kaya mo na yung part na dropdown at fill in the blanks eh ok na focus kana sa arrange paragraph at multiple choice

    I also tried na kabisaduhin yung collocations pero di ko din nagamit hahaha! Just follow the IELTS format in writing okay na yun.. weakest ko ang reading, I cannot give any tips dahil hindi ko alam kung san ako nagkamali.. goodluck on your next exam @jrgongon

    tama si @Liolaeus, yung collocation actually eh ginagamit na natin eversince.. hindi lang natin alam na yun pala ang tawag don...nalaman ko lang din yan noong nag take ako ng IELTS..Unfortunately, dpa rin ako umabot sa gusto kong score :(

    so PTE is my salvation sa English Requirement..
