I noticed walang masyadong visa grantees na accountants this year.
If there are accountants out there who are still waiting for COs and visa grant, please share your experiences here.
I'm currently experiencing "email-checking addiction". Nakakaloka pala mag antay. parang everyday kailangan magcheck ng email. How did you know your application is being processed further?

Visa timeline: 175 General Accountant, 26 YO, 5 years relevant experience.
July 18, 2010 -received suitable assessment from ICAA
Feb 2011- IELTS(6.5 in speaking)
May 2012-IELTS(passed!above 7 all subtests)
June 11, 2012-online visa application

Am curious as to why you said wala masyado visa grantee na accountant? It might be on the fact that there are not a lot of posters here who applied as an accountant... Majority kasi ng nababasa ko dito either Nurse, IT or Engineer.

My wife is an accountant - still in the very early stage kami. Next month ang IELTS and later on the skills assessment c/o CPAA.

Still a very long way to go but we are hoping! :)

    Goodluck and keep us posted!

    Hi Good Morning po!

Newbie here.. And saan po kaya masmadali magpa-assess kasi parang 3 ata yung pwede... Thanks po in advance!

Reply to @Ruzella: Im not a CPA.. but to answer your question.. No. you can apply only to work other than your assessed skill/occupation... pwede ka mag work kahit ano..

but of course, employers will hire you based on your related experience..

Reply to @viannej08: Sorry out of topic.. pero sagutin kita.. ayon sa mail tracking nasa UAE at Phil embassy na dito sa US ang mga PCC forms ko.. ang dami kasi dinaanan na steps... kada stop inaabot ng 2wks.. (Police, Notary, Sec of State, Dept of State, Embassy) tapos 3-5 days delivery time.. kaya inabot ng ganito katagal...

Wala kasi embassy dito sa Texas.. sa Washington (UAE Embassy) at LA (Phil Embassy) pa..
Hindi ko na nga iniisip eh... In His time.. dadating din tayo dyan..
    Goodluck sa atin..

hi guys! newbie here. ask ko lang dun sa mga nakapag paasses na at nakapg IELTS na and ung application is covered na ng new migration process (july 2012). for the ielts - ung acad ba dapat ang itake ng mga accountants? or the general will do. ang required grade is 7 for all areas - mahirap ba sya? and sa assessment (CPA, ICAA at IPA) - alin ang least strict?

i am a cpa here sa pinas. my work experience involves external audit (1 yr) tapos 8 months na accountant then 5 yrs sa govt. confused ako kung anu skill assessment ako magqualify. can anyone enlighten me on this. thanks fellow accountants!

i am a cpa here sa pinas. my work experience involves external audit (1 yr) tapos 8 months na accountant then 5 yrs sa govt. confused ako kung anu skill assessment ako magqualify. can anyone enlighten me on this. thanks fellow accountants!
What was your work in the government Augusto?

My wife will be taking her IELTS tomorrow and she is also an accountant. Her experience was 6 years external audit and 3 years in Financial Reporting. If all goes well, she will apply for assessment as a general accountant.

Google mo din ANZCO job description for Accountants - you can use that as a guide...

Reply to @balletshoes: Hi there! I am new here. May i ask if nung nagpa assess ka sinama mo na rin COE mo for skills assessment? or qualification assessment lang?

I'm going to take IELTS soon and if successful plan ko rin sa CPAA magpa assess.
If I may answer... You can opt to include your COE - assuming that your skill assessment if successful they can take a look at your work experience and give an opinion on the matter.

@psychoboy Thanks! actually my experience in government involves risk assessment. so parang mas magquaqualify ako as internal auditor based sa definition ng anzco. which is assessed by Vetassess.

meron na ba na-aassess na ng vetassesses sa nyo? tips naman po.

    thanks!

http://www.immi.gov.au/skills/skillselect/ - punta ka sa tab na reports then click occupation ceiling...

You will see here the allocation on a given year... however THIS IS NOT BEING updated as and when these slots are filled.

    Hope this answers your query.

As I have understood, it is not needed as the end of the day DIAC will be the ones to determine the number of points to be given with respect to your work experience.

However, you can use this as a barometer on how many points you may claim for work experience when you lodge your EOI. I hope this helps...

I am just wondering though, why are you confusing yourself over this?
