How to convert PH Driver's License to AU Driver's License?

If IED April 2015 then nakakuha ng Pinas non pro DL October 2015, so hindi na rin magamit ang Pinas DL sa South Au dahil more than 3 months na from IED?
sa permanent move mag-start bilang ng 3 months kaya pwede pa yan. Di naman nasusunod yan 3 months, basta hindi expire yung lisensya pwede ka kumuha ng theory kahit lampas na ng 3 months from permanent move mo. HTH.

Then Big Move ko talaga is Feb2016 pa… pwede ko pa kaya magamit PH DL ko for 3 months by that time?

kwento ko lang yung experience ko nung nagpunta ako sa service SA to ask them if can drive using my foreign license..(my DL is from UAE which is pareho din like PH DL na hindi immediately convertible to AU license).

Sabi nung babae sa service SA, pwede daw ako mag drive using my UAE DL for 3 months upon arriving. sabi ko naman nag-initial entry na ako 3 years back for 2 weeks pero sa Sydney. sabi nya when did you arrive in adelaide? sabi ko last week lang.. then sabi nya pwede nga ako mag drive using my UAE license for 3 months since i only came to adelaide last week..

pwede po. dont worry. saka hindi naman nila concern yan immigration issue, i doubt kung alam nila ano meaning ng IED. Mas importante sa kanila na current ang lisensya.

Based from previous posts dito kasi, mas madami advantages kapag may license na before punta Au for good kaysa diyan na sa Au magprocess ng license from step 1. Mas mahal at matagal daw ang process...

ito na po pala yung updated summary para sa mga PR and may chance pa na makauwi sa Pinas bago papuntang South Australia:
1. Get DL sa Pinas either pro or non-pro.
2. Once nasa Au na & hindi pa expire and Pinas DL, pwede ka magdrive until 3 months since your arrival.
3. Take theory exam within that 3-month period.
4. Once passed #3, receive a paper to warrant to drive for 1 year until you pass a VORT or CBT, + perception test.
5. Once passed #4, then u'll have Au full driver's licence. congrats!
6. If failed #4 and beyond 1 year na ang warrant paper to drive, then you will undergo the long and expensive processes of being a Learner then Probee then Full...

Inde po kino convert ang PH license to AU license , ang silbi lang po ng iyong PH license e parang reference ... kung ang PH license mo po e more than 3 years old e bibigyan ka ng FULL AU license, kung inde naman po e P or probationary license

@mhcphc nope, learner's permit is like a driving license for begginers na.

@icebreaker1928 try to renew it before going to AU. You'll pay a fine for the expiration but you'll still get the same license number which will be important in converting it to AU license coz the date when first obtained the PH license will be there.

hello! boss question. may UAE DL din kami ni hubby ..bfore ur '3rd month' ended, u needed to pass d theory and practical exams na pra mkakuha na AU license? also ang prob ko lng is maidens name pa ung DL ko kc ..then ung PR ko dyan wil be married name na. wud u know f pde ko kaya gamitin to dyan? ph license ko rin is maidens name

I made my initial entry last Dec 2014 (3 weeks lang – 2wks in SYD, 1wk in MEL)… Hindi ako nag-drive that time.

This 2016, plano ko na mag-move For Good, may I still entitled to drive in Oz for 3 months using my current PH License?

nasa OZ nako sir, since 2012... kaya hindi na nakapagrenew...
Kahit expired kita pa rin naman dun yung license number ko.

Ngayon ko pa lang balak kuha ng license, anong maaring makaapekto sa pag apply ko ng AU License using an expired PH DL?

@icebreaker1928 Hello po. Share ko lang experience ko. I have a non-pro license dito sa pinas. Nung nasa sydney ako, nagapply ako for learners kasi expired na yung ph license ko. Under tourist visa lang ako that time ah. The lady asked kung gusto ko daw magapply na straight ng full license kasi may ph license naman ako, pwede daw kahit expired na yung ph license ko as long as mapasa ko yung driving test. Hindi lang ako pumayag kasi di pa ako confident that time dahil di pa ako nakapagpractice ng right hand driving. Nagonline exam lang ako then they issued me learners para lang makapagpractice ako during my stay. Pagbalik ko dun sa January, magapply na ako ng full license.

Registration is around 550++ ( 1 Year )
CTP or compulsary third party insurance is at least 600++ ( if you have a clean record no demerits no anything )
Insurance ( depending on the make and model and how good driver you are or level of cover ) at least 600
