Magandang umaga po. Magtatanong sana ako about sa driver's license.

Hindi po kasi ako nag da drive, wala akong license. Ang plano ko po is mag aral muna sa Pilipinas. Example po ang issue date ng license ko sa Pilipinas ay July 2015, at mag migrate na sa AU by August 2015 mapapa convert ko ba sya agad agad into Australian License? or kailangan 1 year na ung issue date bago mo sya ma paconvert?

How about Singapore driving license? Pero same scenario. Issue date is July 2015, migrating to AU on August 2015. Pwede na po ma convert agad agad?

Roads and Maritime Services recognises car and rider licences from certain countries. There are two categories of recognised countries – A and B.

If you are applying for a heavy vehicle licence (classes LR, MR, HR, HC or MC) you must pass the relevant knowledge and driving tests, even if you hold an equivalent class licence from a recognised country.

Recognised Country A: If you hold a licence from one of these countries, you do not have to pass knowledge and driving tests when applying for a NSW car (class C) or rider (class R) licence:

Austria, Belgium, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Canada, Croatia, Denmark
Finland, France, Germany, Greece, Guernsey
Ireland, Isle of Man (licences issued since 1 April 1991), Italy, Japan, Jersey, Luxembourg

Thank you sir. If tama po understanding ko kung sa SG kukuha pwede agad maiconvert. Ang akala ko kc is if ang issue date is July 2015 macoconvert mo lang sa AU license after 6 months to ensure na marunong ka talaga. Thanks again @JCsantos sa clarifications

Alam ko madali lang since recognized yung license mo , pagkakaalam ko mag fifillup ka lang ngform papakita mo yung license mo ... from what I have heard bubutasan nila yung luma mong license tapos bibigyan kang AU license outright

kacoconvert lang sa akin -- hindi na kailangan butasin

kailangan mo nang ph driver's license mo pa rin to prove na matagal ka nang nagdadrive kase sa case ko - aug 2014 lng ako kumuha ng lisensya sa SG and ayun nung nagpaconvert ako, sabi provisional daw muna ako - then sabi ko matagal na ako nagdadrive and pinakita ko uing PH license, then they checked and ayun - OK na ko, ipapadala na nila uing lisensya sa mailing address after 10 days

Nako po! wag naman sana butas ang SG licence ko kasi balik pa ako dito.Hehe..So kelangan po pakita ang PH old licence at yung letter of issuance para di provisional ang bigay sakin. Kasi sa PH licence kasi wala naman nakalagay yung kelan ka nag umpisa magdrive di ba?

Hi guys! Just wanna share. I got my WA Driver's License Today, it was not that much of a hassle though. I got a full license after passing the theory and practical driving assessments. I asked them earlier if i would still be on a provisional plate or something... but they said once you have a valid PH licence and you came to OZ you can directly upgrade to a FULL Licence without restrictions after every test has been passed. might still need to prove that, as other officers di agad naniniwala na yun 2 digits dun is the year it was issued, at least for SG may case na ganun.
In Au they wouldn't care about your Ph license if you show them your Sg license, that's what the officer told me

yap... they have this book of licenses, and unfortunately hindi updated uin -- kse nakalagay dun na sa taas ng signature may issue date, pero after my license renewal last year, wala na uing issue date and they'll have to just base it dun sa two digit number dun sa gitna ng licensya

Agree... There is a book for licenses around the world. I have seen that book... Very comprehensive there!

Or if they want proof, maybe you can introduce the dude questioning you to Mr Google...

@markbarquin SG license can be converted to Au license without taking the test and the practical driving test, so its more advantageous...bakit naman may implications? Di naman tatanungin paano ka nagkaroon ng SG licence...just familiarise yourself driving on the left and road rules kasi its totally different in Ph.

Hi @fgs and thank you for answering! I was just asking if there would be any concerns that I will need to take a practical driving test if converting an SG license to an AU. Got all the info and assurance already! Thanks again!

I was able to obtain my temporary license earlier today upon passing the BTT yesterday. I got a non-pro PH license and they converted it into a class 3C license. Good thing I don't need to upgrade my license but if in case I would like to ride a motorcycle I may need to apply the license type for it which is baka sa AU ko na lang gagawin. They will be sending the card in a month's time.

Tips when converting your PH license to SG:
- Have at least half a day allotted to it.
- You can convert right away after passing BTT
- ID Picture and NETS payment only!
- Photocopy of your:
-IC
-Passport (Current and the one you made your entry in SG)
-Passport page of the stamp indicating date of entry in SG
-License & Receipts of your license (Good thing I kept some of mine, yun nga lang dun nila binase which is 2008 nakalagay at hindi sa sa card na 2002 sana)

@thegreatiam15 Double confirmed na hindi convertible and PH license if you acquired it a year after your entry in Singapore. Hope this helps para mabawas gastos niyo unless you really intend to go with their process.

@markbarquin - with regards to PH license to SG - is there any minimum number of years before they will convert?. For example kakakuha ko lang ng license sa pinas, can I convert right away to SG?.

hi po meron po ba dito nakapag apply for learner driver license (QLD) habang nasa Student Dependent Visa? Itatanong ko po sana kung ano ang evidences na ipinakita niyo? I checked the QLD Govt website for the requirements and mukhang kulang ako sa documents to apply. Passport at debit card lang ang evidence na meron ako. @mariechelle, are you over 25 na? yes pwede na ung. just bring a copy of your visa as well. If you are over 25, you will need to hold your L licence for 1 yr before you can take your practical (open license).
