@catthsy Hi, check CGFNS website. Andun lahat ng instructions for MT VS Cert. You can dload the booklet too. You can check workabroad.com for those agencies.

@bear0000 thanks for the infos.

@rynamhae IELTS muna. Ang required band score is 7.

    Sept 2014 - IELTS take 1 L=6.5 R=8.0 W=7.5 S=7.5 IDP
Dec 2014 - assessed as Medical Laboratory Technician 311213
Sept 2015 - took the MLS Exam
Oct 2015 - assessed as Medical Laboratory Scientist 234611 (received the letter on Dec 2015)
    Jan 23, 2016 - IELTS take 2 L=7.5 R=8.5 W=6.5 S=7.0 IDP
    Feb 05, 2016 - submitted EOI for 489 Relative Sponsored, 65 points
    Feb 20, 2016 - IELTS take 3 L=8.5 R=7.5 W=6.5 S=7.0 IDP
    Apr 30, 2016 - IELTS take 4 L=8.5 R=9.0 W=7.0 S=6.0 British Council (hayy, just wait for 489 invite)
July 05, 2016 - got invited to lodge 489 Family Sponsored Visa
July 30,2016 - lodged visa application and uploaded documents except nbi, kuwait police clearance

For everyone's information lng, i dont intend to intimidate nor frighten.

@svetlana @bhelle_mt02 Nakapagwork din ako sa US but I choose Oz because maganda ang employee benefits. Takes 5years to get US citizenship.

Sa mga hindi pa decided: Syempre maganda lumipat sa US as working visa kasi may work ka na once you get there. Here in Oz, you can move as PR already. Although medyo mahirap maghanap ng work but as long as hindi ka mamili I think madali lang makahanap.

When it comes to employee benefits madami sa oz. to mention a few: Employer pay for your superannuation or retirement on top of your salary. Sick leave can be carried over to the next year if you haven't used it. Higher shift loading when you're working after hours and weekends. And even when your on vacation, you also get loading too. Long maternity leave as well as paternity leave.

In US benefits are also employer dependent: this were my benefits with my employer in Florida. you save for your superannuation and not the employer. Some will offer retirement matching if you're saving for retirement. No sick leave. No maternity leave. If you don't have vacation days, when you get sick or gave birth, you don't get paid.

Just my few cents.. It is still a matter of personal choice whether US or OZ.

@wastedvampire thanks for the info, after carefully thinking about the pros and cons, decided not to apply in US na. Ksi un nga, ung benefits ng anak ko like school, may medicare etc. Nkakahinayang din ung work sa US dahil in demand tau ngaun doon but then pg ginawa ko un, balik ako workpass like sa sg. We're here in Adelaide for 9mos now, I only have part time lab assistant work, my husband casual cleaner, with 8hrs a week sometimes wla pa but then thinking of it, nkakasurvive naman w/ God's grace.

So yeah, mas ok na dito Oz for us. Mejo settled na. Full time permanent nlng ang hinahanap and I know, sooner, makukuha din namen un. Starting to apply interstate na, hehe.. sna mapansin ang resume.

Godbless sau and thank u ulet.

Hi guys. Running for internship pa lang po ako and binabasa ko na po itong thread for a while, nalaman kong marami pa akong hindi alam. Hahahaha. The International English Language Testing System (IELTS) po ba? Required po ba yun kapag mag work abroad?

@ARJanes Hello. Thanks for your reply.
Plan ko now is to submit the requirements for assessment. Then i'll take the exam sa Oz na since I might be going there later this year.

I read na you can get 15pts (for PR application) if you have a bachelor's degree. Does this mean na counted ang BSMedtech na i took here sa Philippines or yung bachelor's degree lang from Australian schools?

    @vangie hello. Thanks sa reply.
Plan ko by april or may na mag submit ng requirements for AIMS assessment. Then while waiting for the result, take muna ako ng course na related sa labtech in TAFE and self review na din. I'll work part time din.. kahit anong work. Hehe. Then I'll take the exam na din sa Oz na. Medyo settled na din kasi sister ko dun and fortunately, she is willing to assist me with whatever I need and ang mom ko din is willing to help me sa pag aalaga ng anak ko pag nasa Oz na kami.
I really need to pass the exam para maging PR. Hehe

If money is not a problem, go for the student visa option. It's also quite a challenge looking for jobs related to pathology field when you're on a temporary visa.. If you have more than 3years experience in a hospital lab, aims will have a positive assessment and you'll get invited for the exam and pass. Definitely in one year you can move as PR.

@wastedvampire Hello. Thank you. 1st goal ko talaga when I get there is to pass the exam and become a PR. I am quite aware na mahirap talaga maghanap ng job dun as labtech or lab sicientist kaya aim ko talaga maging PR asap since mas marami job opportunities ang mga PR and mas lesser ang tuition fee if ever i enroll sa uni.

Anyway, yes i have a 3yr work experience as a medtech here sa Philippines. But i still have to review hardcore since i work sa govt hospital and limited lang mga lab procedures na naperform ko especially
