@ImB @cpa_oct2011 Hi, would like to ask po what requirements sinubmit nyo for CPAA membership assessment. I'm a CPA here in the Philippines and currently waiting for my partner visa. I'm planning to pursue my career as a CPA pag nasa Australia na ako. Hope you can give me some inputs. Need pa rin po ba ng IELTS? Thanks po.

@JRG_02, You mean migration skills assessment? Hmm...at the top of my mind is subject description, TOR, Diploma, course mapping, etc. Can't recall na exactly. I suggest backread ka bro

With regards to IELTS, yes kailangan. Academic to be exact. But me option na din ata ngayon na PTE. Punta ka sa CPAA website sa link na binigay ko sa taas for more info.

@ImB It's membership po. I think no need na po ako for migration assessment kasi I applied for partner visa waiting na lng po ng result. I read po that you applied for the pathway 1 under the MPA agreement. So yun din sana gagawin ko..but under pathway 2 kasi wala pa ako 10 years work experience. Thanks po.

@JRG_02, ah ok. Yung application ko to be an ASA (Associate Member) ang sinubmit kong docs eh:

- Membership Application Form (inemail skin to but you can DL siguro sa website ng CPAA)
- Passport (Certified True Copy)
- Driving License (CTC)

@JRG_02, teka was thinking about it pala. Kaya naman hindi nako hinanapan ng CPAA nyang mga docs na yan kasi they already looked at my records since they already assessed my skills nung migration assessment.

Sa case mo, kung hindi pa nila nakikita yan...I assume they would so have them ready na.

hi..i hope someone could answer my questions. i am not yet eligible for skilled independent visa but i am taking master of accountancy this year... while studying, am i eligible to be an associate member of CPA Australia? Is it ok for me to apply for assessment? I just want to be an associate member so it would be easier for me to look for a part time job as an accountant. I only have 4 years of professional experience in EY but the membership assessment (not the migration assessment) only requires 3 years. am i right?

Hi @AUstudentwannabe, i am an associate member of CPA Aus. i think you need to complete yung foundation level first before you can apply for assessment as an associate member or pwede ka rin magpa assess (kung Accounting grad ka sa pinas) if you think na you have completed yung foundation level subjects, if ever may kulang and hindi sila satisfied they will tell you to enrol sa specific subject na kulang mo. You can check their website for more details re: foundation level.

sa case ko kasi, business course ako sa pinas then nagaral ako ng Bachelor of Accounting dito.. although may nacredit sakin na subjects, hindi enough yun para magkaroon ako ng positive assessment for migration and to be an associate member as well.

Kaway kaway sa lahat ng mga 65 pointers na nag-aabang! Sana nga magpatuloy ang trend para mas marami na sa atin ang ma-invite. I'm still waiting na maka-70 points and hopefully ma-invite din for 189. Mas mabilis na invitation for 70 pointers dahil kailangan ma-reach and quoata by June 2016.

The minimum points score for accountants to receive a 189 invitation is still 70 points, but the waiting time is now down to under 1 week with this score. If the current trend continues, we expect that the minimum score for an invitation will go down to 65 for accountants in the next round.

Hi guys! Pwede ba ako magpa assess sa ICAA based on australian studies? I finishes Masters degree 2yrs sa Qld. If positive, ito ba yung points for qualifications part na comparable to bachelors degree? Pwede din ba ako mag claim ng australian studies requirement?

Hi guys! Gusto ko rin sanang simulan na ang akin OZ dreams, kaso may ilang concerns lng ako. Recent CPA board passer lng ako (2014). I worked as an External Auditor for 6 months tapos Internal Auditor for 7 months and counting, pero magpapa.assess ako for Accountant(General), pde ba yun? thanks in advance!! :') :')

@garyopaw Student visa is one option so you can work part-time but it is too costly. I also opted for that and even attended the university fair held by IDP but I just couldn't afford it. For you to have an idea you can check this site https://www.idp.com/global/studyabroad.

@pink sis sana nga maging ok na yun trend para naman mas malaki ang chances nating mga accountants. As per last invitation round https://www.border.gov.au/Trav/Work/Skil/17-february-2016-round-results ang mga na-invite na 65 pointers na accountants are those who lodged last 23 Sept 2015. Sana tuluy- tuloy na ang invites. Let's keep our hopes up high!

@jencandysweet naku sis, 4 months pa ang hahabulin para sa 65 pointers.. kaya kailangan ko talaga na makakuha ng highest possible score sa English proficiency. Yung sa mga 70 points, anong status sis?

@hopeful_mea sis need talaga magpataas ng points. I was also thinking of reviewing for PTE kasi 65 points lang ako while waiting for an invite. SS ang EOI (65+5) ko di pa ako nag-EOI for 189 kasi hintay ko pa results ng appeal ko para maka-70 points. I'm hoping it is positive 'cause if not I will make an EOI for 189 na rin kahit 65 points and will try to take PTE exam while waiting.

@pink sis oo nga antagal pa pero at least there's movement kahit papano. Mas mabilis ma-invite yun mga 70 pointers and based dun sa last review na nabasa ko parang less than a month naka-receive na ng invite. Dapat talaga mag-pataas pa ng points at least 70.

Yup - wife did first 6 yrs of her career with the Big 4 then moved to financial reporting; counted naman lahat when she did skills migration assessment under Accountant (General).

@jencandysweet That's a good plan sis kaya mo yan. RIght now I just feel so pagod and butas na butas na bulsa negative pa lol kaya pahinga muna. I'll wake my dreams up come May this year kasi magiging 65 points ako by then. If funds and energy allow it, maybe i'll take pte ulit. For now hiwalay n muna kmi ng exam na yan hehe.

Btw I got an ITA today from WA. Sched 2 profession natin sa WASMOL so wala lng din akong magawa sa ita na yun sayang.
