hi,
i'm glad i discovered this site, such a blessing! i am currently in the UK and with the riots happening all over the country nagdecide kami ng husband ko to go 'down under'...i have lot of questions pero di ko na lang itatanong lahat,hehe...i hope someone could help...
1. can i apply for independent skilled migrant visa while i'm still on sponsored working visa (mas mabilis daw kasi ang sponsored visa so i'm thinking we'll go there on that visa then apply for independent skilled visa once we're there)
2. ano ang ibig sabihin ng 1st at 2nd installments?
3. do i still need a skills assesement kahit na ang occupation ko ay nasa SOL at sponsored ako ng employer or does it only apply if i'm going for an independent skilled migrant visa?
maraming salamat po at mabuhay tayong lahat!

1. can i apply for independent skilled migrant visa while i'm still on sponsored working visa (mas mabilis daw kasi ang sponsored visa so i'm thinking we'll go there on that visa then apply for independent skilled visa once we're there)
=> do you mean you have sponsored working visa sa Australia? or sa UK? currently?
2. ano ang ibig sabihin ng 1st at 2nd installments?
=> are you referring to this link po ba? => http://www.immi.gov.au/allforms/990i/professionals-outside-australia.htm
if yes, ung 1st installement is mandatory, and the second one is optional, magiging optional cya kapag ung dependent mo ay may less functional english, need nila mag take ng IELTS and obtain a good score to avoid paying this 2nd installment
it says :
"The 2nd instalment of the Visa Application Charge for dependents aged 18 years or over with less than functional English must be paid before the visa is granted."
3. do i still need a skills assesement kahit na ang occupation ko ay nasa SOL at sponsored ako ng employer or does it only apply if i'm going for an independent skilled migrant visa?
i believe yes.

i mean sponsored visa in Australia, dual citizen na po kasi kami (British/Filipino)...how soon can i apply skilled migration?
is it true that i don't need to take IELTS as long as i can prove that my education was in English (ie. ask my school to confirm it to AHPRA/DIAC? nakausap ko kasi mga Briton na migrant adviser so i'm not sure if they are knowledgable about our education system.
ang daming tanong! maraming salamat ulit! more power!
