@hopeful_mea & @iam_juju promise ililibre ko talaga kayo. Mean time, bayad muna kami pang Visa at sigurado ubos ang yaman namin dito bukod sa fees sa medical exams at NBI.
@pausatio salamat brod sa support. Maybe, I could consider going to Perth than in Sydney as more engineering jobs awaits me there I guess. Good luck sa new life nyo on your big move. Keep in touch.

HOW TO PREPARE FOR PTE EXAM TIPS IN A NUTSHELL:
1. It is important to know the TEST FORMAT.
2. Prepare for at least 8-10 weeks.
3. PRACTICE, until you had covered all types of test daily.
4. LISTEN to BBC & CNN News Reports daily.
5. Prepare a written working TEMPLATE for DESCRIBE IMAGE & RE-TELL LECTURE.
6. If you had taken IELTS test before, WRITING essay part shall be of advantage.
7. Know set of words daily and write it down in your notebook to widen VOCABULARY.
8. LISTEN to podcasts, British Council's downloadable apps to familiarize diction etc.
TEST FORMAT TIPS:
Part I (Speaking & Writing)
READ ALOUD (6-7 items)
- Read loudly and stop for "periods", pause for "commas" and put emphasis on focus words.
- Before starting the test proper, ensure that your headset is positioned well and that your
microphone is at least slightly below your mouth so as not to capture air gap in breathing.
- SMILE. One thing I did was, I conditioned myself in a happy mode while speaking. It helped
as my voice sounds very natural and relaxed yet audible.
REPEAT SENTENCE (12 items)
- I would say close your eyes while listening to the speaker. I did not get my pen and notes.
What I did is FOCUS and write on keyboard what I just heard.
DESCRIBE IMAGE (6-7 items)
- Use the powerful TEMPLATE like this format in mind:
1 - The chart describes the covering
(If source of the data was given, please mention)
2 - The highest rate/volume/incident of was at whereas
3 - The lowest....
4 - In summary, this chart is concise and accurate and could be used as reference or basis
for future studies following the same objective OR
The chart was impressive and interesting because it has analysis that can be utilized
by educators or students / government legislators
RE-TELL LECTURE (3-4 items)
- Get your pen and write what you have heard.
- Write as much as you can hear from the speaker but write in shortcut key words.
- Follow the structures essay format as you type the summary.
ANSWER SHORT QUESTIONS (12 items)
- * I will send a set of questions; as these are practical yet some are tricky logical questions
SUMMARIZE WRITTEN TEXT (3 items)
- Focus on the topic sentence and the concluding sentence only.
- Follow the number of words required and maximize at least 30 words minimum.
WRITE ESSAY (1 or 2 essay)
- Follow IELTS 3,7,7,3 Format
I shall post next section, PART II on my next post.

Part II (Reading)
MULTIPLE CHOICE, MULTIPLE ANSWER (3 items)
- Use the technique scan, skim and locate topic sentence. Do not be tempted to look
immediately at the choices. Find the main focus of the paragraph usually found at the 1st
and last paragraphs.
- To be a smarter test taker, locate at least 2 nearest choices as this test type is right minus
wrong. It would be safe to answer by choosing at least 2 nearest possible answers.
MULTIPLE CHOICE, SINGLE ANSWER (3 items)
- This time seek what is being asked of the question. The "synonym" technique is the ones
I had used in finding the correct choice.
RE-ORDER PARAGRAPHS (3 items)
- This should be an easy one. The clue here is sentence cohesion. Usually, the topic
sentence comes first. Look for the last sentence of the first paragraph as the 2nd, 3rd and
4th comes as a continuity of the foregoing sentences.
FILL IN THE BLANKS, READING (5 items)
- This is the part where the "Subject - Verb Agreement" should be applied. Use of infinitives
and tenses were to be analyzed here. Once you had completed filling up the blanks, read
once again the entire sentences to check for grammatical errors.
- You will drag the correct sets of word to the set of sentences given. Use the mouse.
FILL IN THE BLANKS, READING & WRITING (5 items)
- Same as above exercise, difference is just you had to type in the correct word.
END OF PART I & PART II
- Invigilator shall approach you as you raise your hand for the
10 minutes optional break. I had used this period to use the toilet to pee. You will be asked
to use that time wisely in preparation for the last part of the test which is LISTENING.
Part III (LISTENING)
SUMMARIZE SPOKEN TEXT (3 items)
- I had used the pen and pad provided. I just FOCUS listening, write what I had heard and
check for my grammar and spelling before clicking.
MULTIPLE CHOICE, MULTIPLE ANSWER, LISTENING (3 items)
- Again I closed my eyes and just get the key words. As to what I heard, I write and check
for what is asked on the computer. The 2 nearest answers, I clicked. I never click into
what is not being mentioned by the speaker. FACTS only.
FILL IN THE BLANKS, LISTENING & WRITING (3 items)
- Similar technique as above, only this time I had used my pad and pen. Again, FACTS only.
Choose only 2 nearest answers.
HIGHLIGHT CORRECT SUMMARY (3 items)
- This is more of reading part accuracy. Find the nearest topic sentence summary.
MULTIPLE CHOICE SINGLE ANSWER (3 items)
- I just listened as my eyes are closed and find the "single" choice answer among all.
SELECT MISSING WORD (3 items)
- This is the spoken word of the speaker where you have to guess the concluding word
of his last sentence. My technique here is to open my mouth and read silently in parallel.
From the choices, it would be easy to detect thru correct grammar the missing word.
HIGHLIGHT INCORRECT WORDS (3 items)
- I placed my mouse over the words as the speaker is talking. This way, I simply click what
is not consistent on what he said versus the written text. This is the easiest part!
WRITE FROM DICTATION (2 items)
- I never mind my capital letters and spelling as I typed in the keyboard while listening.
What I did was I just gazed at the keyboard and type whatever I heard and it became very
effective for me. Expect mistakes as you type, this is fine. You will have time to correct
spelling and capitalization as this part is not timed.
There you go! I hope these set of TEST FORMAT had helped you. Remember po, come in the
TEST CENTER confident, and relaxed. Be at the test venue earlier so you could begin the test
ahead of other candidates. Quite noisy and annoying on the 1st part of the test. All you have to do is FOCUS and breath intermittently. Computer lang naman po ang kaharap natin kaya do not be shy to read and speak aloud.
Lastly, PRAY. This is my weapon in making me strong willed to PASS.
Pag may tanong po kayo, let me know as I am much be willing to help you out.
GOD BLESS!
P.S.
Write your FULL NAME in a sheet of paper like this:
CONGRATULATIONS! YOU HAD SUCCESSFULLY PASSED THE
PTE ACADEMIC EXAMINATIONS. Results were as follows: L: 80, R:80, W:80, S:80
I suggest you buy the MOCK TEST (available in Sets A & online thru your credit card located on PTE Website. My mock exam I took was really closed to the actual exams simulated. You could check my previous thread for reference how I did there.
