@paw07 For Describe Image I normally look for the overall trend and discuss that. I would not recommend writing things down 'cause you only have 25 seconds to prepare. To be honest, I am one of those people who has to write things down during assessments. In fact that's one of my apprehensions with PTE compared to IELTS, but with less than half a minute I had to give up writing the details of the image/graph as there's just not enough time. Hope that helps.

@Kay1983 Have you tried the Macmillan PTE practice? Ginamit kong reference sa speaking yung Answer Key dun. Hope that helps.

@Trish1208 ang dami proseso bago mging nurse, gulay!!! Nurse ako for 5years sa medical city then nde na ako ngwork 4yrs na. Hehe. Ayaw dn kse ng husband ko. Husband is Software Engineer naman. Sana bukas my result na kmi. Para naman makapag EOI na. Hehehe

@marzky oo nga nakita ko 5 days maximum, pero parang most often than not 24-48 hours lang. Baka kasi holy week kaya tumagal konti. Sana positive lahat result natin.

Guys patulong naman. My wife took her PTE exam last Monday (Mar 21). Mababa ang score niya sa Speaking (41), dahil na din sa Pronunciation at Fluency. Ang problem, may lisps si misis. We don't really expect na mag-eexcel kami sa Pronunciation and Fluency. Ang aim lang talaga namin ay maachieve yung band 7.0 equivalent, sadly sa Speaking kami sumabit.

Nagbabaka sakali lang na baka may makarelate sa condition niya or meron kayong maissuggest na technique or strategy. Maraming salamat!

@Trish1208 ung Macmillan meron pwede idownload sa Scribd pero yung audio meron naupload si filipinacpa dito sa thread, may ibang mp3 lang na ayaw magplay sa akin pero karamihan naman eh ok..

@altuser41 My friend, who's an English major, said that lisps are corrected by retraining the muscles in your mouth to produce the right sound. There are available tools online to help your wife. Hope that helps.

hello any chance one can be exempted for bridging program in Australia under APHRA? Im currently working in Singapore as ICU nurse, my classmate mentioned to me there is a chance I can be exempted from APHRA. I dont know if it is true?

@Trish1208 baka kelangan mo update software ko bago mo gamitin yung app. MacBook ginamit ko dun sa akin medyo natagalan ako bago ko gamitin kase may mga kelangan pa ko update and download na mga software. All the best!

@altuser41 i think i can relate to your wife. I dont have lisps but i do have impaired hearing problems since childhood. And it affected my speech particularly the pronunciation. Ung 's' ko sounds like 'sh'. And when i used the voice to text tool andami p palang speech sounds ko n d mrecognized ng tama.

My speaking score nung first take ng pte is 53. My pronunciation is 47, oral fluency is 66. Actually the lowest score i got was 37 for speaking, that was during my 2nd take.

What i did is I used the template posted by members here. Then i tried if mrecognize sya ng voice to text tool. Ung mga words n d nya mkuha ng tama, pinpalitan ko ng synonyms n marerecognize nya pag sinabi ko. Like for example, ung word the 'projected' ncacapture nya lage as 'protected' sken, so pinlitan ko sya ng 'shown'. Ung 'accurate', pinlitan ko ng 'explicit'. Then yun nga, practice and more practice pa. Yung revised template n yun ang ginamit ko s describe image at s retell lecture. Pra konti n lng yung idadagdag ko.

My speaking score improved to 70, 75 for oral fluency and 58 for pronunciation.

I took PTE five times. I actually thought mas madami pang beses, dahil nga dalawa ung skills n need ko pagtuunan ng pansin. Basta, don't give up. Practice, persistence and prayers will help her get the required scores. Hope this could help.
