what mobile phone sim to get upon Oz arrival?

Hi there. Any advice on what sim card to get from the airport upon arrival? We are staying 4 days in Sydney but will settle in Adelaide. What is the preference and why? My assumption is I can convert the same number from prepaid to a line later and internet browsing should be easily available with prepaid? Appreciate any advice and confirmation. Salamat ng madami. Sagutin ko na din. Hehe. After some googling - vodafone, optus and telstra have the strongest signal in ADL. In CBD Area, vodafone ranks first. Vodafone na lamg muna then change na lamg later kapag may mas magandang package. Nabasa ko din na pag nagpalit ng plan or tel company you can use the same numbers. FYI.

Na-try ko na Vodafone, Telstra, Optus, Amaysim at Boost. Signal wise wala ka naman halos itulak kabigin sa mga yan. But supposedly, mas maganda ang coverage ng Telstra (if wala silang downtime issues

)).

It used to be na palipat-lipat ako ng telco dito sa Oz. Free naman kasi ang number porting. So what I used to do eh nag-i-stock up ako ng starter kits ng iba't ibang telco -- depende sa promo. Sometimes, yung $30 starter kit ng isang telco, like Telstra for example, eh mabibili mo ng $15. Lowest I got it was for $10.

For the past few months though, I decided to stick with Telstra, specifically their $30 Freedom Plus plan. I got their $30 starter kit for $10 (IIRC), activated it and chose Freedom Plus. One thing I really like about this plan is that it comes with $30 Google Store credit din, which I can use to purchase songs, apps, books, movies, and even in-game goodies (sakto sa mga COC addicts). Lately, whenever I opt to renew, they've been giving me 2GB Bonus data din.

If I am not mistaken, 3 lang ang telco sa Oz: Telstra, Optus at Vodafone. May mga resellers sila though. Amaysim for example, uses Optus. Boost uses Telstra. And so on and so forth.

kasi ung case ko, initial entry muna by end of month. tapos balak ko i-maintain ung AU number ko kahit nasa SG ako kasi hindi ko pa alam kelan big move (sobrang bilis kasi ng pangyayari).

may package ba sila na pwede monthly top-up lang at pwede ba online?

Errrr... renew = topup = recharge. :-B And yes, you can do this online (payment via CC or PayPal).
