For migration purposes for teachers, we need to take the Academic version.

what's the best state to be a preschool teacher? in terms of requirements like licensing, salary, benefits etc.
Thanks

I haven't made my move to Australia yet, but here is my take on your question (others may share based on their actual experience): Unlike in the Philippines, you do not need to take a licensure exam in Australia to become a Pre-school Teacher. You only need to have an ACECQA-recognized Early Childhood Teacher qualification (http://www.acecqa.gov.au/Qualifications.aspx). In terms of salary and benefits, I really think that the state wouldn't matter. It would mainly depend on the Child Care Centre you are working for. Hope this helps!

I am planning to study Masters in Early Childhood Education (University of South Australia), I have been accepted pero ng defer ako next year, medyo hindi pa kase ako ready.
If ever na I will apply for PR right after completing my MA, tama po ba tong 'calculation' ko?
Nominated Occupation: Early Childhood Educator
1. Age (38 by 2019) - 25 points
2. Qualification - 15 points (degree with teaching units in Pinas, + MA in Early Childhood Educ)
3. IELTS (will work hard to get 8 in all bands) - 20 points
3. Australian qualification - 5 points
4. Regional area (South Australia) - 5 points
Additional info: no teaching experience but licensed
TOTAL = 70 points
Also, who would be the assessing body for my Bachelor's and Master's degree? AITSL po ba or ACEQCA?
Thank you po in advance!

That's right, you'll have 70 points if you apply for Visa 190. 65 points if you apply for Visa 189.
The only assessing authority for migrating as a teacher is AITSL. Yung ACECQA, sila yung magchecheck kung suitable yung degree mo for ECT when you're already in Australia. If you're planning to work as ECT, better check also if the degree that you want to take is in the list of approved qualifications: http://www.acecqa.gov.au/Qualifications.aspx
Good luck!

I am pretty new here. I am already a PR-dependent of my husband (visa 189). And I am currently living in Melbourne, Australia. I am planning to become a registered teacher and I am curious if there are any registered teachers here? If there is, may I get some tips on how to apply?
I took up bachelor of secondary education in DLSU and I have 45 days of supervised teaching. And Im planning to take IELTS. Would anyone know if I would qualify?
Thank you.

Hi! Since you live in Melbourne, you'll have to apply for registration from the Victorian Institute of Teaching (http://www.vit.vic.edu.au/registering-as-a-teacher). Regarding tips, to be honest, I don't really have any because you'll just have to submit the required documents and then you'll just have to wait for your certificate of registration. It's a very straightforward process.
Here are the requirements:
1. Proof of English Language Proficiency (ISLPR Level 4, IELTS 7.5 or PEAT Band A)
2. Overseas Criminal Record Check (NBI Clearance)
3. Evidence of Qualifications (Transcript of Records)
4. Other documents that may be requested
It would be possible for you to qualify as long as you satisfy all of the necessary requirements. Good luck!

Thank you very much for the information. I am just afraid if they will accept my credentials as they explicitly stated that they need a 4 year course graduate. But, since DLSU follows trimestral system, it only took me 3 years to graduate. I actually don't know what they consider as a 4 year program. So, I am quite worried about that. Hope it works out

They usually mention "four-year degree or equivalent." This is my opinion on the matter, but I believe that yours is an equivalent because if you didn't have a trimestral scheme, then it would've taken you four years to graduate from the degree. Also, they'll base it off the units/courses that you took. Yours would probably have similar number of units/courses as a four-year degree course. It'll be fine. Let us know how it goes!

Would you know anyone pala who obtained a positive/suitable outcome from AITSL na walang teaching experience? I was thinking kase na what if i take again education units with at least 45 days of supervised teaching then apply after.

Proof of teaching experience isn't part of the requirements for AITSL's assessment for migration. So, no worries!

QCT claims that the process takes around 12 weeks for overseas applications, but mine took 16 weeks.

I'm new here...
I would really love to know what is the very first step if you intend to apply for a teaching job in australia. I am a public school teacher in the Philippines and I'd like to try my luck there...
Thanks in advance...

Hello! The first step is to take the IELTS (PTE and TOEFL are not accepted) with a score of at least 8.0 in Speaking and Listening and at least 7.0 in Reading and Writing. When you're done with that, the steps will generally be similar to other Visa 189/190 applications:
-Assessment through AITSL
-EOI through SkillSelect
-Lodge visa after receiving invitation to apply
-Wait for visa grant
Hope this information helped. Good luck!

It doesn't need to be a masters degree. Your bachelor degree only needs to satisfy the following requirements:
-Degree that is comparable to at least four-years full-time higher education
-45 days of supervised teaching practice
-IELTS Academic Version (at least 7.0 in Reading and Writing, at least 8.0 in Speaking and Listening)

That's right, IELTS muna. So you can either take it from IDP or British Council. You may read more about it from this thread: http://pinoyau.info/discussion/29/share-some-tips-on-ielts/p1
I'll be moving to Australia next month.

Good morning po,
Pupuwede kaya akong mag apply sa primary grades if my bachelor is in secondary education pero experience ko is in primary grades for 9 years? But I took up a masters degree in Early Childhood Education
