Visa 189 / Feb 27 / March 31 / PCC / Adelaide

We have asked for more time to provide the requested documents (PCC) and we are given additional 2 months.

We are hoping that we can secure the pcc as soon as possible, problem is sa Panama pa yung police clearance which according to their embassy in Manila, 60-90 days ang processing of the PCC. Haaayst.

So far weve been handled by several case officers, paiba iba halos ang sumasagot sa amin. May case ba sa inyo guys ang ganito din sa amin?

We are really hoping that we can get the document as soon as possible and sana wala ng hingin na additional requirement si case officer after. I can see from the thread na pwedeng may kasunod pa pala na hingin na ibang docs. Oh well.

Anyway, congrats sa mga nabigyan na ng grant.

Sa mga wala pa kagaya namin, lets be positive.

Musta batchmates? nakaraos na rin kami sa PDOS kanina at may sticker from CFO na worth P400 na ang aming mga passport

I am from Davao so plan sana namin sa Cebu mag attend kasi Cebu and Manila lang meron at kaya nagpa-book na kami ng roundtrip ticket last march pa kc may promo, nung tumawag ako last week para iconfirm ang schedule sa Cebu, sinabihan ako na may icoconduct daw sa Davao na seminar at eto pa...same date nung flight namin kaya ayun nasayang yung airfare namin pero ok na rin at natapos na.

@OZwaldCobblepot brother, saan state nyo ba plan magpunta? Parang matamlay ang job market sa perth in my case sa ngayon. Naisip kita kausapin kasi pareho tayo mechanical engr. Plus factor pa zero aussie employer and walang local job experience. Medyo kinakabahan ako basta mag big move agad.

@fi0na03 yes mahirap maghanap ng work (I am speaking permanent job as being professional). Marami casual jobs sa perth pero considering wala pa ako work experience locally sa australia (at least 6 months) at aussie employer to endorse me as character reference, parang I need more funds to survive my first 6 months sa perth.

Mag stay lang kasi ako solo sa high school classmate ko sa brabham. And medyo malayo ako sa city area around 45 minutes away sa CBD. Kaya parang nag iisip ako ng timing when is the best time to move there. Saan nyo ba balak mag stay sa perth mate?

@jedh_g bro. based on experience do not worry po. totoo mahirap maghanap ng work which is in line of your profession. Pero for the means of survival, hanap ka muna ng kahit ano work.. maraming work mahahanap. Odd jobs, cleaning, etc.

Before i got a job in line with my profession I worked in malls, production factories, hotel room service and even cleaning. Step by step you will get the right job bro

@ninyeh salamat sa encouragement brother needed this. I had a college mate from perth also. He then told me that local experience counts kaya nga kahit maintenance personnel lang muna sa airport, game ako magsimula na agad. I am worried lang kasi sa mga aussie employers na hindi nila pinapansin ang CV pag "zero local aussie job experience" kaya hinahanda ko na sarili ko. If pwede nga muna mag aral ng short skill course parang gusto ko gawin sabay sa casual job.

@jedh_g yes bro. importante din that you build your network. kahit anong job would make a good reference. But as you quoted bro " Do not fear nor be dismayed for the LORD your God is with you wherever you go." He will provide. When you reach perth, punta ka agad sa mga job sites like, seek.com, indeed.com, gumtree.com.au .... even centrelink here offers job assistance. or even try employment agencies here which will help you find the job.. Mahirap talaga adjustment period kasi first 3 months but after that smooth sailing na yan

@ninyeh nice bro, parang nabawasan na excitement ko sa visa grant na ini expect namin this July. Mas worry ko ngayon job hunting. Para ngang ang hirap bumitaw sa current job ko ngayon kasi na sa peak ako ng performance and opportunity to level up.

Meron na ako format ng 2 CV. Isang pang casual job at isang pang malakasan hehe. Sana umubra ang charm ko sa mga aussies pag dating ko doon. Yes, GOD shall take care of me there. Ilang months din lang naman pasunod na lahat ng mga 4 kids ko at si misis.

Haiisst...dumagdag pa yung nabili namin new car ngayon, parang ayoko muna umalis hahaha...gusto ko lang gumala muna
