bitter pa rin @prcand sa pulang tuldok? hehe. wala akong nakuhang atm card sa NAB. visa debit card agad request namin kaya after 5 days pa nareceive by post.

@engineer20 lol.. Hindi naman bitter, kasi on a personal level, hindi ko masyasdo naramdaman (local friends at colleagues). Pero nagiging aware ako pag kausap ko kapwa noypi sa mga experiences nila, lalo dati pag nababasa ko comments online (ex, sg yahoo)

@prcand boss dba bumalik ka sa SG ulit para magwork? Nung naginitial entry kaba e nag file kapa ng TFN?

Ano ano ginawa mong steps? Mukhang ganyan dn ksi balak ko dahil may offer sa Germany. Magwork muna ako dun bago balik .. pero need ko maginitial entry bago ako umalis.

Iniisip ko kung kelan ba dapat kumuha ng TFN e technically wala pa ko work sa Aussie kasi balik pako germany. Natatakot ako ma double tax e.

@coffeepamore online application lang TFN. Pero dapat nasa OZ ka para makapag-apply. May IP checks kasi ata sila para malaman whether andun ka, else magiging unsuccessful application.

Secondly, make sure na meron kang OZ address kasi dun nila papadala ung letter. Pwede ka makisuyo sa kakilala mo (whether kaibigan or kamag-anak) na gamitin addres nila. After 2 weeks, though 1 month sinasabi nila, darating na letter mo containing TFN.

While you're on it, magbukas ka narin ng bank. Kasi may special interest ung iba for new migrants. Kunwari, NAB, 4% ata ung privileged rate nila for the first 4 months upon opening / arrival in OZ.

Alam ng AU immigration pag onshore ka or not. Kaya pag mag apply ka ng TFN, hintayin mo muna dumating bago ka ulit bumalik ng Germany. Sakin 1 week lang dumating na yung TFN by snail mail.

@SpongeBobInAU may dala kaming pram pero walang car seat kaya naging problema siya nung gusto namin mag Uber e bawal talaga ang walang car seat. Nabasa ko sa na may exemption kapag taxi. If mag Uber kayo pwede naman ata magrequest otherwise if you have a pram that can carry a car seat then bring it or kahit car seat na lang talaga since libre naman ito i check-in for the baby.

@coffeepamore as long as hindi ka pa nagrereside sa AU eh huwag ka muna kumuha ng TFN. I don't think that they will tax you on since hindi ka pa naman talaga nagrereside sa AU.

difference is yung sa NAB walang maintaining fee sa transaction accounts. irregardless sa amount nang pera n ideposit m per month

sa commonwealth meron around 4aud per month if less than 2k per month ang deposit m n pera BUT for new immigrants free fee ang first year then mag charge n sya if less than 2k ang pera n ideposit mo. One thing to note the best ang online app nang commonwealth bank.

I have both NAB and commonwealth.Main bank k is commonwealth dun yung sweldo k. then it may xtra akong pera itransfer k sa NAB

Update sa NAB account: if you can get your debit card in branch.

kasi yung akin ninakaw sa mail box ko,nagamit nag mananakaw. Yung sa NAB debit card pala activated n pag ipadala sayo so kahit sino pwede gumamit. Nawala yung 150aud ko..huhu..I am making a dispute claim para maka claim yung fraudulent transactions sa account ko. sayang din yun. dugo at pawis k yun. baka isasara k n lng din yung account kung ganyan k lousy yung security nila, ill stick with commonwealth nalang

unlike sa commonwealth, anz, at westpac blank debit card ang ipadala sayo at kailangan p i activate bago magamit.

@tooties Pano nanakaw? Hindi nakuha agad sa mailbox? Mag ka hiwalay kasi ipapadala yung debit card saka yung pin. After 3-5 days pa bago ibigay yung pin.

@Liolaeus Ou ninakaw sa mailbox k. separatr nga yung debit card and pin. I have yung pin n. yung card wala. kasi sa ibang bank like common wealth. They will send you a blank debit card which u will activate online via your online account then you will nominate a PIN. same din with ANZ.

eh yung sa NAB, pala iba yung policy nila. They send you an activated card n and you only use the pin if you'll purchase items above 100 or withdraw cash from an ATM.

Meaning, kahit sino pwede gumamit nang card as long as via paypass at below 100 aud yung amount.

ang daming binili nang magnanakaw. bumili nang petrol, groceries, at recharge voucher..bwisit.ini isip k n lng baka nagugutom n para di ako ma stress.

Yung akin lng napa-poor nang security nang NAB. kaya after I get may refund. ill close the account n lng and just stay with commbank.
atleast sa commbank i trust them p. kasi very careful sila s security to the point n paranoid n sila.
Iremember one time may binili ako online for the first time. they immediately called me if ko b ang gumawa nang purchase.now thats good security.

@tooties Awww, ganun pala yun. Activated agad yung card once na release. Tapos hindi pa kelangan ng pin pag below $100. Buti na lang wala laman yung classic account ko kaya if ever manakaw man, wala makukuha. Looking at banking with commonwealth na din.

Naku, I'm sorry to hear that! I claimed my first NAB debit card from the main NAB office in Brisbane, but that was for the migrant account. When I applied for a visa card, they sent that through mail. And I agree, it is NOT the safest system. You definitely have the right to complain to NAB management regarding that lost card. With Australia's decent customer service, maybe they'll even return the money that you lost from that card. Let us know how it goes.

Nung makuha ko visa card ko inde pa yun pwede gamitin requested din yun kaya dko maimagine papaano nanakaw yung pera kasi kahit linked yun yung pin non gagana lang pag either pinareset mo na or nakuha mo na email ng bagong pin nung card na yun ayleadt gamito sa kaso ko

@thegreatiam15 yung akin preactivated n ang card n send sa akin. kaya nagamit via paypass. At yung pin n pinadala thru mail gamitin lng thru cash withdrawal or amount more than 100aud. ito yung sa nab.

while via commbank at anz. blank card ipapadala nila and you need to log in sa online banking account mo to activate. So if nasa commbank or anz k. kahit if nanakaw yung card ko as long as di k ma n activate online di din nila magamit.
