@caylin di pa ako ng start. pero nagbabasa basa ng books kasi may client ako nag take sya luma books nya binigay sa akin. wala pa ako sa AU. nag aapply pa lng ng visa. gawa ka ng separate thread. baka pagalitan tau ni admin off topic tau hehe.

hello! i've already passed my documents for assessment including my prc exam result, certificate and picpa certificate as well. bumalik sa akin yung nagaassess asking for picpa exam results. im going to tell him na yun na yung sa prc exam that I provided. just wondering if any of you guys were asked the same question during assessment?

Just curious kung paano mo nakuha mataas na PTE points, kasi ako nahirapan. English user ka talaga kahit sa bahay? saan ang mas madali makakuha ng high score IELTS or PTE? Naka try ka ba ng ielts dati? if yes, ano score mo sa ielts?

Nalito kasi ako kung ielts or PTE ang kukunin ko, taga Davao pa naman ako at walang PTE ditto. Pero kung mas madali ang PTE makakuha ng high score, punta na lang ako Manila to take it.

hello po, pa help naman po. mag apply po ako ng PR visa for Australia, nag pa sched na ko ng TOEFL IBT, tapos, iniisip ko yung assessment body ko is IPA. mas ok po ba yung IPA sa CPAA? tapos, tinignan ko yung site ng IPA, meron sila yung initial assessment tapos my General Skilled Migrations assessment din, pareho ko po ba yun dapat applyan? Gusto ko sana makpag lodge ng PR Visa application this 2016-2017 cut off, patulong naman po. salamat

@angpogingaccountant Hi. Yep, magpapa pre-assessment for skills (not so dure what they call this, parang P.A.S.A. ba) and pag qualified ay tska magpapa skills assessment. Medyo magkakaiba lang ng tawag ung tatlong assessing bodies but it's always the case na two types of assessments ang kailangang ipasa, one for qualifications (or the education) and the other for skills (or work experience). As which is better, CPAA or IPA, I cannot comment since my skills were assessed by ICAA. Maybe others can give feedback on your question.

@angpogingaccountant usual process is..

take an English proficiency exam. upon passing the desired scores. apply for skills assessment. if positive results, dun k palang makakapag-submit ng eoi. may nabasa ko dto dati na nadeny application dhil nauna mag submit ng eoi khit wla pa skills assessment.
kaya assessment first before submitting eoi.

@jocarv I have not tried IELTS yet. first time ko for PTE so I cant really compare it. pero as per mock test madali lang ang exam sa PTE. Im working abroad so daily use of English is normal. I only have some difficulty in the pronunciation kasi barok englsih ng mga nakaka usap ko most of the time lalo na sa middle east.

@angpogingaccountant dapat po may results muna ng assessment para malaman mo kng credited ba ung work experience. Kasi sa EOI may portion dun na ititick kng relevant ung work experience. So ung basis po nun ay ung results ng assessment.

Hi @asshley, ielts (at least 7.0 in all bands) or pte (at least 65pts in LRWS) is a requirement to get positive skills assessment. I took ielts before i applied for skills assesment. I didn't know about pte that time.

@jocarv hindi rin ako naka try ng IELTS. Sabi nila more or less the same lng daw. But I'm comfortable using computers and I type fast. So I thought to take PTE-A rather than IELTS. One thing I can say about PTE-A, though, is it's being assessed by a computer (sabi nila). So it removes bias. As long as you articulate well enough and only have slight grammatical errors, I'm sure you'd get a good grade.

Hello po mga friends! Urgent question. I have a pending assessment sa ICAA. Cut-off na for the 2nd batch of July ITA. I'm thinking of submitting my EOI even without the results. Is this advisable? Or mag hintay nlng talaga ako sa result before submitting my EOI. Thanks po!

Is there anybody here who have tried IELTS & PTE? Please advise kung ano maganda itake. Mabilis naman din ako sa computer. Ang problem ko lang sa ielts, yung writing kasi hindi ako English user at medyo limited lang ang vocabulary pero nakakaraos din kaya kung hindi 7 ay 6.5 ang ielts writing. Sa speaking naman parang madali ako maintimidate pag English speaker kaharap ko or in short tameme kaya either 7 or 6.5 ang result ko.

Tanong ko lang

1. ang style of test sa writing ng ielts at PTE pareho lang ba, describe the chart ang 1st part at prepare an article expressing your opinion or answering an expository statement?
2. Ang speaking sa PTE, pareho lang ba sa ielts na live mo kaharap ang interviewer or over the computer pa din sasagot at recorded lang?

@jocarv if you feel uneasy with face to face Q&A, maybe PTE is suitable for you kasi computer lang kaharap mo the whole exam.. read here.

Hi all, I'd like to be enlightened. I've been hanging around this site for PTE tips and I'm surprised to see this thread. You see, I'm a CPA also and currently processing my skilled migration visa application. But I just started, and kakapasa ko lang ng PTE this week. I'm qualified for 20pts so I'm ecstatic. Ang kinakalito ko lang, parang wala akong nakikitang kapareho ko ng pagpapasahan ng papers. I was advised by my agent to apply for accreditation sa CAANZ (Chartered Accountants Australia and New Zealand). I think this was known as ICAA before. My agent mentioned previous cases na pagkarating ng applicants nila sa Aus, diretso recognized as a rightful accountant and was even hired by Big 4 firms there agad agad. I know little about CPA Australia. Ano pong difference nito? And what visa are you applying for? Thank you and sana may sumagot! I'm scheduled to pass my accreditation requirements na kasi this weekend so I'd like to bring this up to my agent. Thank you thank you

@mrkanncpa madami din na nag pa assess sa ICAA , meron din sa CPAA. I can only give idea about CPAA. meron sila mutual agreement with PICPA sa atin. once nag pa assess ka sa kanila pede 6 subject na lang take mo para maging CPAA member or pede din 3 na lng depends sa result ng assessment mo.

@ImB hi.. sa 12.2 yrs mo po.. may senior/managerial role ka po ba? or kht wala as long as more than 10yrs para masabi n sa pathway 1.. sila ba.. mgssabi kung san ka eligible kung pathway 1 or 2 as long as ipasa mo lht ng docs n need nila?
