@batman thank you. My plan is last week of Sept or 1st week of October. I really need a luxury of time to review because I am not good in english, unlike you and the others who passed, you are all so smart guys.

@michel_75 I totally disagree. The English test is just a basic grammar actually. We only find it difficult because of the time constraint. If others can do it you can do it too. Set a goal, work and pray hard to achieve it.

There is one thing I did during my second review. I have a tendency to stutter whenever I speak English. I tried to research what caused this mannerism. I found out that's because we tend to translate from our mind the native language we learn to English. So our mind is working simultaneously. Hence, we run out of next words to say. One youtube channel "English anyone" suggested to try listening native speaker how they talk and what words they used. native speaker just talk and disregard grammar rule. They learn english from constant conversation not from grammar books. So that's what native speaker suggesting learn from constant conversation not from the books.

Since I don't have time to talk to native speakers I did "shadowing" (I learn that in youtube too. ) I tried to imitate the one talking exactly what he/she is saying. I tried it for 1 whole week. Whenever im watching CNN or BBC, I tried to imitate the reporter. Though I don't catch everything he was saying at first but gradually I was able to repeat everything.

I believe that helps me in getting a 79 PTE score in speaking from 66.

@batman Thanks for the additional tip. I will start that NOW. Actually I already watched a video recommending like yours but I just ignored it, but now I just realized how effective is it because it worked for you. Thank you so much for sharing @batman.

@michel_75 it will add confidence whenever you speak. that's how it helped me. I forgot to mentioned that I recorded myself while doing the shadowing. and listen to it again so I will know which word I did not enunciate properly.

@michel_75 sa write from dictation, try mo isabay ang repeat sentence na review. repeat mo ang sentence tpos after mo I repeat I write mo na din. tpos sa actual. wag ka magsulat agad, pakinggan mo muna buo. kasi ang haba ng sentence parand sa repeat sentence lang din e. kaya mo I repeat yung sentence pag nagawa mo I repeat madali na lng sya I write down after.

Hi @batman! Sobrang haba po ba ng mga sentences in repeat sentence and write from dictation in actual exam? Unlike po ba sa practice set ng macmillan? Thanks!

@shaynetot hindi mahaba sa actual exam, kaya mo syang ma memorize make sure lang focus at nakinig ka ng maayos makukuha mo sya. relax lang talaga pag pinkinggan mo kasi ako malakas kabog dibdib ko nun repeat sentence at write from dictation. kaya feeling ko mas malakas pa ang kabog ng dibdib ko nun una kong take. nun second take ko I tried to relax at mas madali mag focus at I catch ang mga sinasabi ng recording pag relax at di stress.

Took the exams last Friday, the result was up kaagad ng Saturday night, super bilis! However, my result was not favorable I kinda expected it dahil super ninerbyos ako dahil na overwhelmed ako ang bilis ng time ng Reading. Sa Listening naman may mga strong accent na hindi ako nakapag prepare. Na-lost ako dun sa part na hahanapin mo ung mali sa passage, tsaka answers sa questions. 3 strong accents yung na recognize ko, Southern American, Australian tsaka British. Hindi ako nakapag handa.

Reading has been my weakest area kahit sa IELTS man. Kaya dito ako nag concentrate mag aral pero hindi timebased yung pag aaral ko, naubusan ako ng time. Nag mamadali na ko sa re-org paragraph tapos yung next dun wala na nag expire na. Speaking naman has been my strongest area, nature ko kasi mag salita ng mag salita. Kahit wala ng sasay 'yung sinasabi ko sa describe image tuloy-tuloy parin ako. Here's my result kahit nakakahiya share ko narin.

    W-65, S-87, L-64, R- 59

Pinag iisipan ko pag kung mag take talaga ako, hindi ko alam kung kaya ko pang maingat yung reading, feeling ko na acquire yung skill sa reading elementary palang. Mahina talaga ako sa part na yan.

@xiaolico ay tapos ka na pala. Dito sa Pinas?

In the summarize written text, are we given 10 minutes to response one item or just 10 minutes for the whole section?
