    @lock_code2004 yup. sakin cp na pwede mag text, tumawag, mp3, radyo, may internet. ayos na ko. kahit hindi touch screen. hehe. ayun.. swak ang Nokia C3. hehehe.. na cp pa ng gf ko, nagpalit kami cp bago ko umalis ng pinas kasi nga triband ang nokia c3, kesa naman daw bumili pa ko. hehehe. ok naman. :P
    kung bili man ko gadget, yung pwede pag kakitaan. siguro macbook. sideline ba, gawa ng iphone apps (walang katapusang aral) kahit na wala din ko iphone or kahit ipod. hehehe.

    Kita nyo naman, minsan lang sya bumili ng gadget pero MacBook agad. :D Kidding aside, as far as I know if gagawa ka ng iPhone apps, you also need to buy an iPhone/iPod, or even an iPad, so you can test your app. Somebody can correct me if I'm wrong.

    @hotshot depende pa din sa company. pero mostly wala. dito sa company ko wala.. as in 4.40pm umaalis na mga tao. heheh. hindi ka pagtitinginan na bat ka umaalis maaga. unlike sa pinas, naku kahit 6pm ka magout mahihiya ka tumayo kahit na maaga ka pa pumasok.

    @JClem yun ang namimiss ko sa pinas. hehehe. meron din christmas party pero hindi kasing bongga at saya sa pinas. summer outings? siguro winter outings. hehehe. ibang company may outing sa snowy mountain pag winter. pero sa company ko wala. hehehe. movie nights, meron din sa iba. team building meron din naman.

    Puede nman kumain sa desk mo minsan puede din sa pantry pero yung matutulog ka after mag lunch during break di nila ugali ng ganun. Sa office ko walang ganun di sila nago-off ng ilaw at natutulog during lunch break. Yung iba balik agad sa work after lunch tsaka flexible ang work time dito kaya puede ka mag lunch ng maaga 12 noon or 1pm. 12:30 ang regular lunch break Masasanay ka din pag nandito kana.

    We've been applying online since we got our visa. But I guess recruiters or employers really want someone who is readily available in Australia. I got 3 recruiters who told me to call them once we're there and I hope to score a job offer from any one of them. Your suggestion was actually our option before but I think if dalawa na kami dyan ni hubby, the chances of one of us getting a job are higher. Thanks by the way!

    Well better nga na isa muna mauna...not in my case kase hubby insisted na kameng 3 eh sabay-sabay kahit wala pang work...Ang taray!haha! He argued na it'll be very lonely mag-isa. I rsepect my husband..he's got his reasons baka nga nagnenega lang ako kase I'm usually the pessimist :-( but I would rather na isa lang mahirapan. We gave up our comfy life in SG to achieve worklife balance in Au. Ngaun i'm in distress kase di ako marunong sa bahay and I have a kid who goes to school....I wanna work but but but...mahal ang childcare...huhuhu

    Dalawa na din kami pupunta ni hubby. We feel that higher yung chances na makakuha yung isa samin ng work kapag sabay na kami naghanap dyan. :) Malungkot din kasi maiwan ang isat-isa. Risky but I'm sure God will take care of us. :)

    Who told you that? Hahaha.... operations shutdown pag last two weeks of December until first week of January. This is true to most, pag permanent of course may freedom to take longer leave pag contract e usually "it's a must".

    So technically speaking between mid December to mid January wala masyadong ginagawa.

    Workwise dapat ingat sa mga months na December, January, June and July these are critical months specially for contractors pag inabutan ka na walang work or natapos ang contract yari na. Pag permanent naman e sana wag matanggal during those months.

    December - January due to holidays
    June - July due to budget approval and allocation dahil palit ng financial year

    Anyway, once you're here malalaman mo din.

Wouldn't it be better to start your life there early para maka-settle down kaagad? Sure, there will be minor speedbumps pero lagi namang may ganoon sa umpisa, so just get it over with. Sabi nga ng misis ko paglabas ng visa namin resign kaagad kami dito sa disyerto and lipat kaagad para mabilis maging citizen. Ako pa nga yung gustong magpa-delay para makapag-ipon pa ng bala.

    @Metaform, yung iba siyempre pakikiramdaman muna ang buhay sa Australia...pag nagsettle down kaagad kasi wala nang atrasan (that's how I interpret the situation a) hehe

    New member po ako ang currently waiting for the invite sa EOI 189 Visa.

    Worth it po ba talaga long term wise yung pag transfer sa OZ from SG?
    Kami din po medyo comfy na rin ang buhay sa SG and we have one child.
    1 month old pa ang baby namin. Okey naman po ang work namin sa SG , kami ng mrs ko ay may work at maganda ang pay naman kahit papano.
