Hello po another question, nbsa ko s website ng BC under general category the components are speaking and writing lng so meaning d n kailngn kumuha ng reading and listening? Thanks.

@kylenepink for assessment sa EA you need ielts general na minimum band 6 scores for each component. mas ok kung makakuha ka ng band 7 or higher each for additional dibp points.

@engineer20 thanks. I am planning to register for IELTS and was browsing the British Council website. Nakita ko to kaya nalito ako what exam to take. If I need to take general should I specify na kailngn ko dn ng reading ang listening? Pasensya n po s mdaming tanong

@kylenepink hi, bc sg din ako nagtake. 4 components naman yung exam ko, lrws.. Writing means is a paper based exam which includes listening, reading and writing which will be conducted in one day. Then yung speaking will be scheduled before or after your writing (paper based exam).. Hope it clarifies..

Hi there. im aware that it needs to be somewhat 5 years to earn higher points for the experience when applying for visa (targetting visa 189 here) since ill turn 5 here in sg this aug, i think it might be better if ill review for ielts already. What do u think?

@angelicious madaming components sa points based system ng visa 189 or 190.. age, degree, english, work experience among others.. yung sa akin less than 5 yrs experience pero able to meet the 60 points.. you should assess your points then you can check which component you need to improve to meet the minimum eligibility criteria..

@se29m 27 na ko lol so feeling ko achieve ko na yung 30 points sa age. Yung sa work experience sabi ko nga this aug, 5 years n ko. Kaso diba by section din yung school pinag grad natin let say sa UST yung degree will still be equivalent to degree, i guess yung sakin baka 5 points lang kasi sa province ako nagcollege. Pero hindi aq sure masyado kasi basa lang talaga aq ng basa sa forums hehe.. Actually nagielts na ko nung 2014 kasi naging requirement yun sa work ko ditu sa sg kahit hindi naman nila gasinu nirequire yun nung 2011, to cut the story short na meet ko naman yung need ditu sa sg l-6.5 r-6 w-6 s-7 kahit alang intensive review lols so ngayun para sa ekonomiya ng Pilipinas need ko na magpursigi for the oz dream. Meron ba kau masasuggest na ielts material na hindi costly?

@angelicious Ok nmn xa mgturo.detailed lalo n s writing. Then mgbibigy dn xa ng homework s nyo so u can practice writing.then grad nya writing nyo if bandscore 6 or 7. Then give advice. U will learn a lot from him

@pinoysg wag mu pahinain ang loob ko di pa ko nagtatake ng test. Hehe nagtake na ko para makapagturo dito sa sg before naipasa ko naman kaso mataas natung sa au eh need ko 1 band higher for each component. Pahiram naman ng materials mo. Kaya naman yan kaso aral lang talaga at maraming panalangin.
