1. Anyone here who has taken this exam before who can share some tips and database of exam questionnaires if you can plse?
2. I heard from a friend that if you pass the Cpaa exam, you no longer need to take english test, anyone? If this is totally true?
3. When applying for eoi, what is the difference between Finance Manager, management accountant, general accountant. I know the difference per se but what i intend to ask is e.g if you selected the code for general accountant does it mean you are not allowed to becime FM? Sorry for my ignorance.
4. What is the highest points to be considered?
5. I read somewhere that they are removing these professions very soon, does it mean that we might be losing the opportunity to migrate specially for accountants who are still preparing the big move.
thank you and look forward for your reply.

If you are a member of PICPA and/or completed the Board of Accountancy Licensure exams in the Philippines, you could be eligible under one of the 2 pathways listed under our Member Pathway Agreement with PICPA.
See link here for more information.
If you are eligible for either pathways, you only pay for the subjects you take or study and not for the subjects that you are exempted from.
For example if you are eligible under Pathway 2 (less than 10 years of working experience) you would be required to take 6 CPA Program papers. You only pay for these 6 papers. You do not need to pay for any foundation papers you have been granted exemptions for.
The CPA Program (professional level fees) differs from the Foundation program. See below for the CPA Program fees:
FEES:
AUD145 : One Time Assessment Fee
AUD1070 (early bird rate)/ AUD1220 (usual rate): CPA Program Professional Segment Fees (1 subject) – If you do the assessment with us and can proceed straight to the CPA Program
AUD296: Annual Associate Membership Fees (While you study on the CPA Program you are called an Associate and need to pay studying members fees) Membership Fees
If you are not eligible under Pathway 1 or 2 in above link, you may be required to do the Foundation program then the fees would be as per below.
AUD335 : Foundation Segment Fees (1 Subject provided you do the assessment and we identify you need to do bridging or foundation subjects)
How to Apply
You can now apply for the CPA Program directly online via the New Online Assessment Tool – click the blue link to access. You would also need to prepare all of the below documents and upload this via the same- New Online Assessment Tool when you apply for the program online.
Click here to see how to apply, what documents we require and to resume your application.
Documents Required:
To upload your documents take a coloured photo of all your original documents (front and back of IDs)and transcripts for the below on your smart phone or smart device and upload directly via the above website.
• Any of the Forms of Photo Identification Listed -[ Passport, Drivers License, National Identity Card]
• Original Degree Certificate/Award
• Original Degree Transcript listing all subjects and grades and grading system
• Original PICPA Certificate of Membership
• Original Board of Accountancy Transcript with all subjects and grades listed
• Original Board of Accountancy Certificate
While applying online you will be prompted to upload all your documents taken from your phone/smart device onto our online application process
The CPA program is a self study post graduate program (not distance learning) that can be studied anywhere around the world and where you can sit for exam centres located around the world – it does not matter where you are based on where you may plan to migrate to.
You can also complete your application with us from any where in the world and still take the CPA Program – meaning self study on your own whether in Philippines or in any other country including Australia. You can then sit for the exams as well anywhere around the world where you are now based.
While you are studying our CPA Program, you will not be able to qualify as a student visa in Australia as the CPA Program is a Post Graduate Program. At the same time, with regards to enrolment, you can enrol a subject every semester. For every semester you can enrol up to a max of 3 subjects. You will be given up to 6 years to complete the whole CPA Program plus 3 years of working experience in either the Accounting or Finance department. This 3 years of working experience is inclusive of the 6years. This means that it will be advisable for you to work and concurrently study the CPA Program at the same time.
Q&A
1.) Is it possible to be a CPA (Australia) even if I’m here in the Philippines as long as I pass your 4 compulsory subjects and 2 elective subjects.? let’s say if I’m already an associate member.
Yes you can be a studying or full member of CPA Australia whenever you are based in the world its not a problem. The CPA Program is a self study program with exam centre networks all around the world. There are no classes or review school. You study on your own with study guides/textbooks provided to you. This is why its possible to study the subjects from anywhere in the world. Exams are held twice a year in May and Oct and you can sit for the exam in Makati City in Manila. This is the only exam location in the Philippines. Once you enrol into the program and schedule your exam you will be notified of the exact exam centre location as this changes per semester.
2.) Do you have a testing centre in the Philippines? Kindly provide exact location. Once you enrol into the program and schedule your exam you will be notified of the exact exam centre location as this changes per semester.
3.) Do you deliver your study materials abroad? or is it available only online? what is additional cost in case?
Study Materials are DHL Courierd to your residential address of your choice when you apply for the program. Costs of the materials etc are all factored into the fees for each subject. See details below on this.
FEES:
AUD145 : One Time Assessment Fee
AUD1070 (early bird rate)/ AUD220 (usual rate): CPA Program Professional Segment Fees (1 subject)
– If you do the assessment with us and can proceed straight to the CPA Program. Costs includes cost of textbook and sitting for exams.
There is no additional cost apart from segment fee, membership fees and 1 time assessment fee.
AUD296: Annual Associate Membership Fees (While you study on the CPA Program you are called an Associate and need to pay studying members fees) Membership Fees
Total:
AUD1511
If you are not eligible under Pathway 1 or 2 in above link, you may be required to do the Foundation program then the fees would be as per below.
AUD335 : Foundation Segment Fees (1 Subject provided you do the assessment and we identify you need to do bridging or foundation subjects)

In previous semesters we had offered a waiver of the assessment fees as we had paper based forms which also indicate that the individual must commit to membership under the PICPA MPA Pathway and pay for 1 segment fee as well within the same semester to be offered the Assessment Fee (AUD145).
As of last month we have now moved to all applications being online only (no paper based forms) and our system doesn’t allow for us to secure the above commitment currently from a candidate. As such, I would suggest for you to apply online and pay the following fees upfront
Assessment/Application Fee: AUD145
Following which we will take up to 10 working days to validate your document and revert back with an outcome. At this stage, as long as you commit to 1 segment and pay for the subject after receiving the outcome from
Membership Fees: AUD296
CPA Segment Fee: AUD1070(if you enrol in the subject by/before 18 Jan)/ AUD1220 (if you enrol after 18 Jan 2017 in the subject)
You can write in to us via this email address upon making payment for the above and send across the invoices with proof of membership & segment payment in order to receive the Assessment Fee refund of AUD145.
