Enrolling in CPA Australia

hello everyone, i got a reply from CPAA customer service (such a relief!):

"Thank you for your email. I am happy to assist you with your enquiry.

The recent Australian Financial Review article claiming that the NSW Government is threatening to deregister CPA Australia is false. The NSW Government has no authority to deregister the company, CPA Australia Limited. The issues mentioned in the article will not impact on the recognition of CPA Australia’s professional and practising designations.
CPA Australia is actively liaising with the Australian media to correct the misinformation that was published.

We will continue to accept CPA Program enrolments, which will open next Monday, 19 June. You can enrol via My CPA Program and also schedule your exam appointment online. You will have access to a full soft copy of the study guide on My Online Learning (MYOL) upon successful enrolment from the enrolment open date (with the exception of the Singapore Tax and Advanced Taxation subjects) and a hard copy will also be delivered to your preferred mailing address.

Hi,

I'm an associate member of CPAA. Renewal is due on Jan. 11. Tama ba yung nakita ko na $654? Mahal pala.

I'm still waiting for my ITA. Mabagal daw ang invite sa mga accountants. I'm having second thoughts on membership renewal kasi pag na-invite ako, dami rin babayaran pa.

My question is, what will happen if I don't renew my CPAA membership? Can I apply again for re-admission?

Second question is, tumatakbo na yun bilang ko na makumpleto yung CPA Program, wala pa ko nakuha kahit isang subject. Pwede kaya mag-enroll kahit di mag-renew? I guess not.

Anyone here who has renewed their membership?

@Lexi bakit mahal ng sau. 296 lang sa akin. hindi ka pede enroll kong di ka member.
may nag advise sa akin about the membership renewal while wala pang ITA. sabi nya better daw na mag renew while wala pa invite. sabi niya kasi baka isipin nila nag pa member ka tapos di ka naman nag cocontinue. wag daw dalhin sa Australia ang ang ugaling ganun. kong sa simpleng membership renewal and payment ng professional body mo hindi ka daw nasunod pano kaya sa ibang rules and regulations ng Australia. Yung nag advise sa akin is an Australian citizen.

Hello @batman ! Thanks for responding. Kaka-renew ko lang ngayon, as in few minutes ago! Nalito lang ako dun sa fees nung tingin ko. I also paid $296.

I decided na while waiting for ITA, oks na din mag-aral. Nag-enrol ako ng isang subject, Ethics and Governance. May reviewer ka ba na pwede i-share. Thanks in advanced!

Hi everyone,

Gusto lang sana magtanong about sa CPA program kung tama ba pagkaintindi ko. I’m a graduate of Business Management sa Pinas and currently nandito ako sa Canada. I’ll be moving to Sydney soon since nandon si hubby so ang visa ko is temporary partner visa na granted naman na. I’m interested in enrolling sa CPA Program and from my understanding is assess ka muna nila to see kung need mo mag take ng foundation exams before enrolling sa CPA Program. So tama ba na mag apply lng ako online sa cpaaustralia upload the needed documents then wait for their assessment?

Anyone here na naging associate na hindi accounting ang degree sa pinas?

@kat123 HI Kat, i know someone na graduate ng management at nag start na ng cpa courses. Sa assessement niya ay pinapakuha siya ng foundation course pero nag appeal siya at naging successful kaya nagstart kagad siya ng CPA course.
