176 = 5-year permanent visa (5 pts. state sponsorship)
--------------------------------------------------------------
Guys, akala ko natapos na ang issue sa ACS noong old ASCO at new ANSZCO nang mawala ang Computing Professional NEC at napalitan ng new occupations. Hindi pa pala nagtatapos.
Sa analysis ko, kapag binigyan ka ng assessment ng ACS as GROUP A, it means that you have a qualification assessed as comparable to the educational level of an Australian Qualifications Framework (AQF) Bachelor (undergraduate) degree. May mga applicants na nasa section 2 and 3 pero nag-fall sa GROUP A. Remember, hindi tumitingin ang ACS sa school sectioning. Tumitingin ang ACS sa ICT subjects taken or vendor qualification at work experience.
Conclusion: Dapat safe ka sa points when lodging application. Kung nasa section 2 or 3 ka, initially i-consider mo na lang muna na 10 pts ka sa overseas qualification. Sayang kasi ang binayad mo kung made-deny ka.
Opinyon ko lang to.

It's not the migration agent to be blamed of, even he was summa cum laude and he lacks the ICT subjects for his nominated occupation then ACS will put him in Group B.
ACS doesn't look at your grades and school when they assess your papers. What they weigh up most are the major ICT subjects taken. If they satisfy the ICT subjects you had taken in conjunction with the nominated occupation you are applying, then they will put you in Group A, nevertheless Group B requires more experience to outweigh insufficiency of ICT subjects taken.
Example of Group A:
Nominated Occupation: Analyst Programmer
School : TUP (section 2)
Course: BS Computer Science
Example of Group B:
Nominated Occupation: ICT Business Analyst
School: UP Diliman (section 1)
Course: BS Mathematics (with specialization in Operations Research and Analysis)
Friends ko sila at nakita ko mismo ang positive assessment letters.
Note: About aiming for 15 pts for overseas qualification. I'm sorry to tell you that ACS is not in the position of providing 15 pts. (per their email). It's DIAC who has the finaly say on this, and they have their own criteria in awarding of points (i.e. school sectioning, masters degree, PRC license, good grades, etc).

4 - Recognition Letter
This is for applicants that already hold a skills assessment and require a recognition letter for ICT Educational Qualifications or ICT Skilled Employment experience or applicants requiring a stand-alone recognition letter for ICT Educational Qualifications or ICT Skilled Employment to submit to DIAC when applying for a GSM visa. Please note: A Recognition Letter is NOT a skills assessment and a positive Skills Assessment is still required by DIAC.
The assessment recognition letter will report the applicants ICT Educational Qualifications as comparable to the Australian Qualifications Framework (AQF) and ICT Skilled Employment skill level in relation to the nominated occupation ANZSCO code for Points Test purposes only.
Does this mean they can now assess our Educational Qualification? another fee? tama ba intindi ko?

sa ACS na galing
"While the ACS is able to advise applicants regarding the relevance of the ICT content of their educational qualifications and skilled employment within their nominated occupation, the final decision in awarding points remains with DIAC."
