@ginger_ice17 just registered my intention during my Engineers Australia professional skills assessment in the Philippines. I received my positive assessment last year on December 2015 then I register my accepted membership here in Western Australia. Yes, my address is reflected back in the Philippines and I notified my Australian address here so they can deliver my ID and certificate by post. Cheers!

hi guys...tanong ko lang how to apply for membership sa engineers australia? kailangan ba magprepare ng CDR? ako kasi yung primary applicant noon kaya ako lang nagpaassess which was basic lang for migration purposes. Now, we are interested to let hubby join EA para mag widen naman connection niya. hope may mag reply. thanks.

Hi guys, kpag nkareceive knba ng positive assessment sa EA, automatic ba na member kna at pde mo na makuna un ID card mo? Or it is a different issue un registration kaysa sa assessment for immigration?

@K9_q8 mate assessment is separate from membership in terms of fees to be paid.
Here's the setup:

1. Pass the EA assessment (stated the type of engineering profession you're in)
2. Came to australia and arrange the membership fees (includes ID)

guys, paano ba kumuha ng electrical license? sabi nila xe kpag positive assessment kna sa EA, automatic na un at mkakakuha kna ng electrical license at issubmit mo lang un certificate mo from EA. Is that true? any kind ba un ng engineering or particularly EE lang sa atin? ECE pla ako... tnx

@K9_q8 in Australia, having affiliation as member of EA does not equate in the engineering license. The equivalent of engineering professional here is what you called "chartered engineer" whereas it demonstrates local professional experiences here in Australia and should be evidenced by colleagues with the same line of profession.

So EA membership is just plainly membership affiliation but not necessarily mean license acquisition (Membership renewal is paid with a fee every 3 months). Hope that is clear mate. The submission of EA documents is just a test of engineering competency and shall be approved by the board/chairman of EA for you as active standing member.

@K9_q8 simple is you get hired by Australian employer and gain local professional experience. No license necessary unless government critical jobs or military defence. Experience counts most than your PRC license.

Positive EA assessment is just used for fulfilling migration requirements upon EOI submission.

@jedh_g Bro ask ko lang, I have been invited & have lodge my visa application (Subclass 190-Vic) last June and I've been contacted by my CO nitong July requesting for police clearance. So far naprovide & upload ko naman na lahat ng requirement. So while waiting nagdecide ako mag member sa EA as a professional overseas member and got approved naman. I'm currently based here in Saudi pa while awaiting un result ng visa application ko.

I am trying to apply na in advance sa mga company dyan but so far getting no response. Do you have any idea pano makikipagnetwork with other professional using EA habang based ka overseas? Mechanical engineer din pala ko.

@K9_q8 Pag nag apply ka as member EA they will provide you like a special account showing the pathway para maging chartered engineer ka. I have the "Chartered how to guide" and I'm willing to share it to you. But since bago lang ako dito di pa ko marunong mag attach ng file.. Hehehe.. PM mo sa akin email mo para masend ko syo..

@gps basically, you can network with other EA members once you arrive at Victoria. Other means is thru LinkedIn lang. Maraming members na EA members.

Chances talaga na 'di papansinin application mo kasi wala ka pa on shore at Australia. They prefer applicants na nasa Australia na than from overseas.

Plus, 'di ka pa qualified sa Charter Engineer kasi it is pure Australian engineering profession practice. No bearing if acquired mo yan ng ilang taon to other countries elsewhere.
