Sa pakikipagusap ko sa mga matagal or local na dito, this end of year (Q4 2016) is not one of the good seasons. Most probably start na nang employment pace nitong q1 ng 2017.

1. The following are the platforms that recruiter used to advertise jobs in the I.T. industry
Seek
Indeed
CareerOne
LinkedIn
AdZuna
Visit these sites daily. Download their app. If you get a chance to look for a job outside of Victoria, apply pa rin.
There are some regional places in AU that are sometimes desperate for a developer with specific skills. If you fit the bill, they might even re-imburse your travel expenses just to live on that state.
If you see a job post that has a phone number in it, send your CV AND THEN make a call, inquire then and there but be polite and courteous.
Umiwas sa GumTree for I.T. jobs, there are a lot of dodgy posts in GumTree. You don't want to have your hopes up and then find out it's a scam.
2. Format your resume Aussie style. There are a lot of templates online to do this, keep your CV to 2 pages long. State that you have a working VISA.
3. Update your LinkedIn account. Australian I.T. recruiters main source of leads are Seek, LinkedIn and referrals. If they see that you still have an overseas address hindi nila papansinin ang LinkedIn account mo. Make sure to put your contact details in LinkedIn. Make sure your CV is downloadable from your LinkedIn profile. State that you have a working VISA.
4. When a recruiter emails you, get their full name and add them on LinkedIn. Don't be shy, this is what LinkedIn was created for. Look at their connections also and add anyone with the title "Recruiter". Go crazy, add all the Aussie recruiter that you can find in LinkedIn. This will increase your visibility to them and they will have a look at your LinkedIn profile/CV. Go aggressive on putting yourself out there, everyone who doesn't have a job are doing the same thing so those who does not have local experience are at a disadvantage.
5. Contact anyone you know in the I.T. industry. Ask if they have openings. Ask if they know anyone who have openings. Ask where they found the ad for their job. As much as recruiters are getting leads, you should also increase your chance for a lead yourself.
6. Go for Odd Jobs/Volunteer work that are somewhat related to your field. Maybe help the elderly learn how to use facebook (check the aged care industry in AU). Or maybe do volunteer work. Once this is done, update your LinkedIn and add this to your CV. Instant local experience plus work reference. This can mean the difference between landing an interview or not.
