@raspberry0707 Thanks! I think verifiable naman siya, same employer as the non-training period... hindi lang siya yung standard employment na may statutory payments na (SSS, etc)

@Mia.. kung papayag employer mo na isama sa COE ung dates ng training as work experience pwede siguro.. pero you have to tell your HR na pag tumawag ang AIMS to verify.. lahat ng documents mo dapat consistent.. kse kung tatawag ang AIMS at sasabihin nila na trainee ka nung period na kini-claim mo na working ka.. sasabit ka sa verification process.

Personally hindi ko cia gagawin at hindi ko irerecommend. Aside from you're not being true to your application.. kelangan mo baguhin ung starting date mo sa COE.. risky cia.. kse lahat dapat ng isusubmit mo consistent. Pati starting date ng employment contract mo kelangan mo baguhin. So kung mapagdesisyunan mo na gawin un.. just be consistent and make sure na aware yung employer mo at HR ng company para alam nila ung isasagot.

Tsaka make sure na after graduation date yung date ng training na gusto mo iclaim as work experience. Kse before graduation na training hindi tlaga un iaapprove ng AIMS. Considered na training un at part ng curriculum.

Kung post-graduate training yung pinaplano mo iclaim na work experience.. pwede mo mailusot.. konting pagdodoctor ng documents.. pero risky..

Good day everyone! baka may makatulong sakin dito... RMT ako sa Pinas, i graduated last 2014, then i passed the boards same year September, meron din po akong ASCPi as international Medical lab scientist, meron din po akong HIV proficiency. 2015 January, I started working na po until now Feb. 2017, so parang 2 yrs na ganun, isa akong college instructor sa isang university dito sa pinas, for short, di ako nag work sa laboratory, yung PTE exam ko po ay ok naman, 65 and above naman, now ang papers ko nasa AIMS na for assessment as Med Technician not Scientist... Question po, magragrant po kaya yung aking application? kinakabahan ako kase di ako nagwork sa laboratory, although ang aking mga tinuturuan naman ay medtech, at medtech subject like Clin Chem, micro, hema, etc. Salamat po. Sana may makapag enlight sakin.

To be assessed as a Medical Laboratory Technician
The minimum requirements for a Medical Laboratory Technician are that an applicant has completed an award in
medical laboratory science assessed as comparable to an Australian diploma from a Technical and Further
Education College, based on the AEI Country Education Profile criteria, plus a minimum of two years diagnostic
medical laboratory experience within the five year period immediately prior to applying for assessment OR
registration with the New Zealand Medical Laboratory Science Board.

Nakalagay po kasi is medtech grad tayo plus minimum of 2 years DIAGNOSTIC LABORATORY EXPERIENCE. So kung instructor po ang experience nyo , sa pagkakaintindi ko po, hindi po accepted yun. Anyway, nakapagsubmit nman na po kayo ng application. Please update us kung tinanggap ng aims po ang qualifications and work experience nyo po, for reference po ng iba pang mag aapply.. Thanks! Hi po. May same case po tayo. Training period and exp with the same employer. Yung sken di ko sinama sa work experience ko yung training period. Unang una pag kumuha ako ng coe. Start ang hiring date nila sken after training na.. then yung list of trainings ko po, makakahingi ka nunnsa HR kasi maam. Sa case ko, naka take note sa training info ko pa din yung hiring date ko pa din. So di tlaga pwede isama as work exp po. Khit may allowance pa sya. Hope naka tulong. Follow nyo nlang ang instruction ang process pra di kayo magkaprob sa visa application sa future.

Hi! First part of assessment which is to be classified as medical laboratory technician will take 6-8 weeks (delivery period not included), from receiving of your documents. Then they may invite you as well to take the aims examination which is the second part of assessment to be considered as Medical Lab Scientist..

@olibrian18 balitaan mo kami kung magagrant ka ng certificate ng AIMS ha.. kung hindi ka man makalusot sa AIMS.. try mo mag-apply as professor.. alam ko nsa SOL un dati.. iba lang siguro tawag.. pero merong category para sa mga Uni profs.. pa-check na lang po..

@ska1119 Nung minessage ko po yung AIMS nun, ang sinabi po sakin kase, kahit na ganun ung nakalagay na qualification, sabi naman nila sakin po is case to case basis padin daw po... kinakabahan nga po ako eh sana pasok ako... -_-

@ska1119 Salamat po! Ma'am or sir, may tanung po ako, if ever positive application ko jan, mahirap ba maghanap ng work jan as medtech/scientist/phleb? and how do you go about the application process? Is it like dito sa Pinas po na parang you float your resume, then pray... hahahahahha!

@olibrian18 hindi ganon kadami ang opening sa position natin. So hindi ko masasabing madali. Pero hindi imposibleng makakuha agad within 1 month. Tyaga lang sa pagaapply.

For example nung ngaapply ako ng job dito. Ang opening for MLS at MLT sa 4 cities - Brisbane, Melbourne, Sydney at Perth, all in all is less than 20. Sa dami ng ngaapply madami kang kakompetensiya. Sa less than 20 na yan.. 2 ang nakuha kong interview.. isa sa Brisbane at isa sa Melbourne. Pinalad nmn ako na makakuha ng job within 1 month. Nakuha ako sa Brisbane.

Sa isang job na nainterview ako, 150 applicants ang ngpasa ng resume, 5 lang kaming ininterview.

So hindi cia madali, pero hindi impossible na makakuha agad.

At very technical ang interview dito. Para kang nag-AIMS exam ulit. Yung isang interview ko inabot ng 1.5 hours tapos technical questions sa hematology, coagulation, stat micro tsaka QC and EQAP (like RCPA and NATA).

So make your resume and cover letter stand out, and prepare for the interview.

Merong iba na inaabot ng 3 to 6 months (or more) bago makakuha ng job. So hindi pareho ang experiences.

@olibrian18 since wala kang work experience sa Laboratory, I would suggest na maghanap ka ng Med Tech position jan sa Pinas. Para habang ngiintay ka ng AIMS at ngaayos ng visa, lumalakad ung experience mo.

Hindi alam ng employers ang mgagandang schools jan sa Pinas kaya hindi un ang titignan nila. Work experience ang labanan dito. Ang magiging kasabayan mo mag-apply ung may 5 to 10 yrs laboratory experience as Med Tech sa Pinas or abroad. Mahirap makipagsabayan dito na walang laboratory experience.

Or try mo sa mga Universities or Research Institutes.

Meron ding opening ngaun sa Canberra as Pathology Professor. Baka pwede ka magtry sa mga ganong position.

@olibrian18 hindi ko masasabing madali.. depende kse yan sa tao tsaka sa diskarte..

Just be prepared emotionally at financially na wala kang job for 3 to 6 months..

Kung kaya mo ung mga odd jobs like factory worker or sa supermarket.. makakahnap ka naman.. palawakin mo lang network mo kse matimbang dito ang referral..

@ajbb yung IELTS kse may option na magsend ng extra copy.. ask mo na lang PTE kung may option na magsend ng copy ng results to AIMS..

May certificate ba kaung nakuha or online lang result ng PTE?

Kung may certificate kayo na nakuha, better na pa-photocopy mo tapos pa-certified true copy mo..

Kung wala kayong nakuha na hardcopy ng results, ask AIMS kung ano ung pwede mong gawin. May email address sila sa website.

Kahit di na red ribbon..

Basta certified true copy.. andun nmn sa guidelines ung details ng notary public na kelangan naka-stamp sa harap ng document e.. tsaka may exact words na kelangan makita..

Ako ngpagawa ng sariling stamp para gamitin ng Notary Public.. para kumpleto dun sa hinihingi nilang details..
