Hello fellow Bedan @KimPao - ACS deducted 2yrs out of my 5yrs exp, assessed as Bachelor's as well.

Hi, ako naman from Letran, BSIT. I have 5.5 years experience -- as per ACS computation. pero rejected yung assessment ko since 6 years minimum daw ang kailangan for them to assess my application.

tho inassess naman nila and binigyan lang ako ng associate degree with major in computing, still kulang pa din ng 7 months. so hintay ulit ako.

tanong lang, can i claim points ba kung associate degree lang meron ako?

Hi @SAP_Consultant, follow up question lang po regarding RPL and qualifications. Since RPL ang route ko which means I should have 6 years of relevant work experience, does this mean that my degree in college (non-ICT) will be assessed by ACS as "no recognized qualification" which means I won't be able to claim any points on that area? Or does this mean non-ICT diploma or higher ako but my non-ICT bachelor's degree will still be recognized as a bachelor's degree and can still claim points for it?

Hi @gerardds @mmm_85 - I can see that this post is more than 2 years ago and I'd like to check if this is still the case this year? Similar case din ako where I completed a non-IT course (BA Psych) in a university that belongs to section 1. I already have 8 years of experience in IT and I'm planning to have my work experience assessed for ICT Business Analysts. Since, I'll be going the RPL route, can I still claim for points from education section even if non-IT course?

yes, you can claim 15 points for educaiton if you graduated from a section 1 school. ACS will not assess your education since its a non-ict

@16022017, Our non-ICT degree will not be assessed at all. In the assessment letter, they will not mention anything about education. See comment from @Xiaomau82 as well. Her comment is aligned with one of the posts in another thread too.

Hello All, question sa EOI, gusto ko lang maging sure. Ano yung nilalagay nyo sa Education part? How it appears sa Diploma or according sa assessment ni ACS? For example, sa assessment ko: "Your Bachelor of Science - Computer Science from XXXX completed March 2009 has been assessed as comparable to an AQF Bachelor Degree with a major in computing." Should I input 1 or 2? Thanks in advance!!

Hello po, bago lang po ako dito sa forum. Currently preparing docs for acs assessment. Isang company nalang inaantay ko na coe. Meron po ba dito nagwwork or nakakuha na ng coe sa IBM? Kasi mahigit 1 month na di pa rin sumasagot sa email ung HR. Any other email address or contact number po ng IBM? Maraming salamat!

@pmond sorry ngayon lang repky PTE is same lang ng IELTS english test din yun kahit alin sa kanila pwede for visa. So yang IELTS mo ok na yan no need for PTE.

I got my review result from ACS

The following employment after January 2011 is considered to equate to work at an appropriately skilled level and relevant to 263111 (Computer Network and Systems Engineer) of the ANZSCO Code.

Dates: 01/07 - 04/11 (4yrs 3mths)
Position: IT Desktop Support
Employer: AAA

Dates: 12/11 - 02/17 (5yrs 2mths)
Position: IT Network Admin Support
Employer: BBB

It means 5 yrs lang ang nakuha ko kasi January 2011 on wards tama ba?

Yes correct @grapebella more than 6yrs yung skilled occupation mo. which is equiv to 10 points. May I know your course and school so we could assess why your deduction is 4yrs.

Hello, may question lang ako for individual with more than 10 years exp. Nagpa-assess ako few years ago at 2 years lang ang deduction for my work experience and Education was assessed as Bachelor's degree naman but that time total of 8 years pa lang yun experience ko. Now I already had 10 years and 4 months experience and been working in the same company. I have dilemma na baka 4 years na ang deduction sa work exp by this time kasi parang may rule yata if working for more than 10 years na 4 years na ang deduction sa work exp kahit assessed as Bachelor's degree ka.

Hope someone can clarify kun tama ako. Kasi kun 4 years madededuct sa exp ko hirap na ako makahabol sa 65 points and might as well proceed with other option if ever. Mahal din kasi pa-assess sa ACS.

@eischied_21 I got my ACS result just today, I had more that 10 years of experience na rin ( 10 years and 9 months), 2 years and 10 months binawas sa experience ko. Sayang nga kasi 2 months na lng pwede ko na makuha sana un max na 8 years requirement to get the maximum points sa working experience.

@pidiong09 Hope you get Bachelor's degree din. Hmm, bakit 2 years and 10 months binawas sayo, akala ko ang deduction lang is 2, 4, 5 and 6 years lang.

@pidiong09 , since katatapos mo lang sa ACS, yung pag attached mo ba ng file, isang buong file magkakasama na yung TOR,diploma,COE or magakasama ang TOR,diploma sa isang file at hiwalay yung COE sa isang file din. Just to be sure para walang hassle magsubmit din ako sa ACS. Thanks!

@eischied_21 yup comparable to an AQF Bachelor Degree
with a major in computing. Di ko rin sure kung bakit may 10 months. Maybe because section 2 un school ko.

May 2006 kasi un pinaka start nun employment experience ko pero employment after March 2009 lng ang considered.

@bluerocky Hiwa-hiwalay sya na pdf file. Un employment reference per company dapat.
Kung statutory declaration/affidavit un gamit mo need mo combine as one pdf file un general COE + Third Party Affidavit/Statutory declaration + IDs nun ngsign nun affidavit.

If complete un documents mo within 6 working days may result na sya. hehehe
