HOW CAN A FILIPINO NURSE WORK OR STUDY IN AUSTRALIA?

HELLO!
I HAVE A SISTER WHOM I'D LOVE TO COME OVER IN AUSTRALIA THIS YEAR THROUGH A TOURIST VISA FOR 6 MONTHS .
SHE IS A QUALIFIED NURSE IN PHILIPPINES. ANY SUGGESTION HOW CAN SHE WORK OR STUDY SO SHE CAN STAY WITH ME ESPECIALLY THAT I AM PREGNANT.

YOUR SUGGESTION WILL BE OF GREAT HELP.

    Hi. I started as a a nurse in the Philippines. Then studied nursing again in Australia. Now Im applying for residency. Its a costly process but worth it

    The options for her are:

    A. have herself accredited by AHPRA (board of nursing in australia, sortof), if she's lucky she will be asked to do a 3-month bridging program. Then apply for work to be sponsored for a working visa

    B. Study for 2 years bachelor of Nursing.

    C. Apply for residency directly.

    OH REALLY? THANK YOU REIN.. IS THERE ANY SHORTCUT FOR THAT? IS THERE ANY OTHER OPTION LIKE SHE WILL JUST WORK IMMEDIATELY EVEN NOT PRACTICING AS A NURSE ? LIKE JUST A CARER..THEN IF SHE CAN SAVE MONEY THEN SHE CAN START HER STUDIES IN NURSING LIKE AS WHAT YOU HAD JUST SUGGESTED..

    @sweetdent

    if she's on a tourist visa if i'm not mistaken pwede syang mag aral for certificate 3 in nursing at mag work as assistant nurse sa aged. actually yun ang trabaho ko sa Brisbane.

    Unfortunately hindi sya pwede magwork after nya mag aral nun kasi nga strict sila na tourist visas can't work.

    Hindi sya makakapaghanap ng employer na sponsor sa kanya kasi wala namang nagssponsor ng assistant nurse.

    She needs to apply for a visa that allows her to work. those visas are the ones that i mentioned

    @rein_marco Hi guys. I am planning to take the 3 month bridging program in australia (hoping for the shorter course). I just want to clarify if i need to pay the whole year tuition of the university or just 1 semester since the course is only short. One more thing, the fee is quite expensive. Can the tuition be in installment basis and is there any student loan available as well? Hoping for your answers. Really want to work in au but kinda hesitant bec of the costs.

    @anoja Kailangan mong magaral para makapasok ka as Nursing Assistant or kung gusto mong magwork sa Aged Care. Maraming Aged Care facilities rito sa Melbourne kaso hahanapan ka ng Cert in Aged Care. Kung ayaw mo namang gumastos at magaral, marami namang available na jobs sa Retail etc. Ang importante is makahanap ng work para makakuha ng local experience para mas madali mong mapapasukan yung work na gusto mo sa future. :)

    @anoja Lahat naman dumaan/daraan sa ganyan pag nagsisimula. Tiwala lang at pasasaan ba at maaayos din lahat. Basta huwag mamimili ng trabaho. Kailangang open ka sa lahat. :) All the best sa bigmove niyo.
