But in our case, hindi po PRC licensed c hubby but still he was granted a bachelor level ng EA. So I think, if may PRC license ka, regardless of ur school attended sa pinas, u will still have a bachelor level. Hope that helps.

UPON backreading at other Topics, at base sa pagkakaintndi ko:
if Section 1 na ang School mo - it will be matically to be considered as BS
if Section 2, no idea, (pa feedback na lang sa mga sect 2)
if may PRC ka naman kahit section 2 and 3 - can be considered as BS

Q: in my case BSIE po course ko at a Section 3 Schools, di din kagandahan ang grades, sino po satin ang may same case ko? Saan po kaya ako macacategorized? Diploma or BS equiv.?

@butterfly @VirGlySyl ang intindi ko sa BS or Diploma based sa no of years natin nag-aral at ilang unit yung mga subjects natin. That's why they're asking for our transcripts. Dito kasi sa Singapore kapag Bachelor's Degree ka they will give you certificate. While sa Pinas naman diploma ang katapat. We follow US Education system sa pagkakaintindi ko. While Australia, UK and Singapore parang same naman sila. Share ko lang experience ko sa ACS, ito result ko:

Your Bachelor of Science in Electronics and Communications Engineering from Bulacan State
University completed April 2004 has been assessed as comparable to an AQF Bachelor Degree with a major in computing.

So sa EA naman I'm expecting na same result but more focus na sa BSECE ko. B

@sanseb2016 sana nga Sir, base sa no. of units pero hintayin ko din yung confirmation ng iba with the same scenario as mine. Section 2 school nyo Sir pala, sakin kasi 3 ^_^

Hello po! I received an update from EA asking me for additional documents and my comment na ganto:

The Migration Skills Assessment is based on the applicant's underpinning knowledge in their nominated occupation. This underpinning knowledge is usually acquired via the Bachelor qualifications. Your Bachelor Degree in Computer Engineering lacks a large number of subject necessary for an assessment outcome of Professional Industrial Engineer. Further, according to the guidelines formulated Australian Government Department of Education and Training, which Engineers Australia is bound by, your Bachelor Qualifications are equivalent to an Australian Associate Degree. Therefore, you are not eligible for assessment as a Professional Engineer. However, as the Migration Skills Assessment follows a holistic process, I can consider your qualifications in combination with your work experience and submitted career episodes to grant you an assessment outcome of Engineering Technologist subject to the requested documents being provided. Please also note that as of the 27th of February 2017, Engineers Australia allows only one opportunity to address any shortcomings in applications. Therefore, your application will be finalised based on the information and/or documents provided in the next submission.

How do I respond to this? Do I have to say anything and also submit a new Summary statement for Engineering Technologist?
Ano possibility ng assessment ko after i submit new Summary statement? Di n ba ako pwede maassess as Bachelors meaning 10pts lang pwede ko makuha sa qualification?

Nope, I'm not a licensed Engineer sa PRC. Hindi ko alam yung Section 2 at 3. Kasi I based dun sa result ng friend ko from BatSU naman AFQ level Bachelor's degree.. So I guessed dapat same result kami. I have provided the ff sa EA:

- Diploma
- Transcript of Record (TOR)
- Certificate of English as Medium of Instruction (CEMI)

Ganito ba scenario mo? Graduate ka ng Computer Engineering, then you want to be assessed as an Industrial Engineer Professional? Tama ba?

Based kasi dun sa response nya, magkaiba yung units ng IE at CoE so dun nila i-mamatch yun. Based sa mga papers na pinadala mo ang assessment sau Engineer Technologist? Tama ba pagkakaintindi ko sa situation mo?

Hi @khaleesi0506 , base sa pagkakaintindi ko, you do not need provide a new career episode if you will accept their decision na icategorise ka as engineering technologist. All you have to do is to acknowledge and provide new summary statement(updated)

As for your bachelors degree, hindi nila itatie-up ung bachelors degree mo to professional engineer(Industrial engineer) kasi mejo misaligned, i suppose industrial related ung work experience mo.

If gusto mo ipush yung bachelors degree mo, kelangan mong pumili ng occupation na aligned sa computer engineering, which i suppose hindi naman tutugma sa work experience mo(if you are in industrial engg field). Then it will demerit ur work experiences kasi ung CEs should be aligned to ur nominated occupation.

@khaleesi0506 Same tayo ng situation. That only means na Engineering Technologist ka para sa kanila and yes u can still claim d bachelor degree level. Engineering Technologist is still under SOL so kung okay layo sayo, e acknowledge mo nalang yan. I mean, accept it. Bachelor ka pa din but Engineering Technologist nga lang. I'm not sure sa occupation ceiling ha so pls check mo nalang. You don't have to resubmit any CDR nor summary statement. All u have to do is say yes to them if okay sayo ang engineering technologist.

Ang initial application namin is Professional engineer, specifically, Telecommunications Network Engineer. However, Engineering Technologist ang na grant but still Bachelor level. Magkaiba lng tayo ng situation kasi all I need is a positive skills assessment from EA na under SOL pa din ang occupation. I dont care sa experience, ceiling and other stuffs. So need mo yan e consider din. But yeah, Engineering technologist is still under SOL and bachelor degree pa din. Yan ang case namin.

@butterfly @kuya.king hello! Yes, graduate ako ng comeng pero since i started working in 2005, planner n work ko so pang IE sya tlga. Wla ako experience na for comeng. So if engineering technologist, and in case maassess sya for bachelors, i still have a chance to get 15pts for qualification and possible pa mka 15pts s skilled employment kung macount as relevant ung 8-10yrs experience ko?

@butterfly @kuya.king by the way, sa EA account ko they asked additional docs. Sa section ng summary statement the CO commented to refer to additional comments then yan nga ang comment nila. I'm wondering if it means I need to submit summary statement for engineering technologist?

@khaleesi0506 tama. If iaaccept mo ung assessment nila as engineering technologist, i guess need mo magsubmit ng bagong summary statement, kasi magbakiba ang summary statement ng prof engr at engg technologist.

@khaleesi0506 oo naman. Just take it na kaya naman sila humihingi ng supporting/correct docs from us is to help us din to get a positive assessment. Pero just try to make it right this time, sabi narin nila which is quite recently lang "As of the 27th of February 2017, Engineers Australia allows only one opportunity to address any shortcomings in applications. Therefore, your application will be finalised based on the information and/or documents provided in the next submission."

Kaya yan. Kapit lang.

anyway, close naman na ang engg tech this programme year. Sure masesettle yan and maiinvite ka pag open ng 2017-2018 programme year sa july.
