The Skilled Nominated Subclass 190 visa replaces both the offshore Skilled - Sponsored Subclass 176 visa and the onshore Subclass 886 visa.

It is a permanent visa which requires nomination by a State or Territory Government.

    Kase under one visa na lang ang onshore and offshore. hehe Syempre mas may advantage mga nagaapply onshore kase they get points for their study/work experience in AU (if within the required # of years or qualification). I think mas pinadali rin kase nila ung process for those na nasa AU na and seeking to apply for a PR. :-)

    Supposing you apply for a state nomination and you were granted and eventually, you got your VISA - does this mean that you will be required to stay in that particular state?

    Reply to @psychoboy: Morally, yes, you should return the favor to the state that gave you a leg up in the first place. Two years is the standard length of time of stay in the sponsor state.

    Reply to @psychoboy: its not only staying, you need to work there for 2 years... since the state sponsored you, you must return the favor by contributing to their economy...

    Kung WA po nagsponsor di ba ok lang naman po sa Sydney ang entry then Sydney to Perth na lang? Kung possible po yun, how long can I stay in Sydney? Andun po kasi mga relatives ko, balak ko sana magstay kahit mga 2-3 weeks.

    Information for State sponsorship visa 190:
    - gives 5 additional points to the EOI application
    - you will need this if your total score is currently below 55pts.. dahil nga SS has additional 5 pts.. that makes it 55+5=60 passmark..
    - you will need this if your skill is in CSOL Sched 2 (not in SOL)

    SS Requirements
    - your skill should be in State's skills in demand.. State Nominated Occupation List..
    - each state has its own list.. example: Librarian might be in-demant for Perth, WA, but not for Sydney, NSW
    - this list gives you an indication of which occupations are in demand and therefore has higher chance of finding a job...

    SS Obligations
    - you will need to stay in that particular state for atleast 2 years
    - that means hindi ka pwede maghanap ng work sa ibang states..
    - participate in some surveys

    ok naman po kahit saang state ka mag entry...
    hindi naman po tayo prisoner sa state na nagsponsor saten at bawal na pumunta sa iba :)

    kahit gano ka katagal sa sydney basta ang requirements nila, you need to work for 2yrs in your sponsoring state...

    to be able to work as a nurse in AU... you should study here as a nurse...
    kahit board passer kelangan mo pa rin mag-aral dito ng nursing...

    we received a letter from DIAC it's a sort of initial contact from DIAC, but it says there

    " Thank you for your state sponsorship application to government of Western Australia. your sponsorship application will now be assigned to a case officer who will contact you if any further information or documents are required"

    may case officer din pala ang SS? kala ko papadalhan ka lang ng letter kung approved or disapproved. may kailangan ba akong ihandang documents?

    April 21- IELTS Passed (British Council Sg S$310)/ April-March -requirements for VETASSES, CTC 4 copies,DHL etc. (S$600)/March 19- Apply VETASSES online ($1150 aud)/June 06, 2012 - VETASSES (Architectural Draftsman) feedback positive /August 08- Apply EOI visa 190 at 70 points/September 11- Resubmit EOI (Was asked to change EOI form)/November 22- Apply for SS in WA (arch draftsman still available)/November 22- Resubmit EOI (changed the State from Victoria to WA)/December 05- Initial Contact by DIAC saying WA is interested./December 07- WA SS approved December 10- DIAC Invitation received (1 week down ecomm) December 14- Lodged Visa $3050aud (plus technical issues of ecom visa was "lodged" December 21 daw)/ Dec 28 - Medicals (frontload)/January 8 -CO Assigned/January 23-PCC/ JANUARY 23---VISA GRANT!!!!!!!!!!

    kung kumpleto naman po lahat ng documents na pinadala nyo sa kanila...there's nothing to worry about. and yes, makakatanggap na lang kayo ng letter from them about the result. ako kasi sa NSW at nag-mail sila ng letter sa akin. not too sure with WA but i would think na pareho lang din (either email or letter). nakakainip lang talaga maghintay. hehe

    i think that's is one way of processing... na-aaccess kasi ng mga state and even mga employers ang EOI database..
    so it's either mag-apply ka direct sa state ng SS... or pwede ka ma-select ng state or employer.. that is why it's called.. Skill Select.. ;)

    as far as i know, meron din nyan dati nakareceive from QLD naman.. offering a state sponsorship..
    pero hindi nya kinuha. kasi gusto nya ung Independent..
