@joshx may tanong pa ako isa. I.T yong tabaho ko po, yong job title kasi infotech staff pero yong job description is pang system and network engineer. yong aapplyan ko sa acs computer and system network engineer. paano kaya yon? nag babase ba sila sa job title or job description?

Goodpm po, tanong ko lang kung may existing na parehas ang case sakin, baka lang po may idea kayo kung ilang years ang ma dededuct sa job exp ko:

Job Exp: 5 Years and 8 Months (Software Tester sa Accenture)
Course: Computer Engineering (Mapua Intramuros)

Balak ko mag paassess as Software Engineer (261313).

Tingin nyo po ilang years ang possible na ma deduct sa job exp ko kapag nag pa assess ako sa ACS? Salamat!

Ung agency ko ayaw mag issue..even ung coe.,,ang meron lang ako is ung first year ko sa company na payslip..ung last 4 they never provide..

So although mag SD ako..lht ng supporting docs wala ako.. at siguro ITR dito SG kaso ang concern ko is, ITR dito ndi nakanmention ang company.oks lng ba un?

Hmm, ang weird naman ng ITR, walang company name. tapos di rin sila nag-issue ng CoE? wala rin payslips.. @anntotsky I'm not sure kung ano pang supporting docs ang pwede mong provide. Maybe someone here has a similar case. Let's wait for their inputs.

@MissM Binigyan nila ako ng COE mali ang dates..actually madami na sila complains dahil ung ibang contractor ndi nakakakuha sweldo... tapos ung payslip.. ive been requesting since nagresign ako..pero wla pa rn...pumunta din ako sa office nila..pero sarado hays

Hi share ko lang result ng ACS reassessment ko. Thank God at positive naman result. Mejo masakit sa bulsa pero okay lang, para sa AU dream.

Tips:
1. Emphasize ko lang ulit na yung job description nyo sa statutory declaration ay dapat inclined dun sa job code nyo.
2. Magtanong sa ACS kung ano ang reason kung bakit hindi na credit yung ibang years of experience nyo then construct an explanation from there.

Question:

Hello po sa lahat!

Newbie po ako here, i am about to start applying for subclass 189. sana po maka help sakin saan mag start from scratch. as in puro basa basa lang ginagwa po gawa ko dito sa forum and it is very helpful. pero wala po kasi ako mahanap na from scratch na same ng sitwasyon ko.

eto po info ko. Graduate of BSECE last 2011 and licensed po, patapos narin ako ng MSECE (masters- thesis nalang) ,CCNP certified, 4 yrs overall job exp pero 3 years lang don ang related sa network (263111 - Computer Network and Systems Engineer). 28 years old. wala pang IELTS (plan ko palang kumuha this year).

Yung 4 yrs exp ko ay:

1 yr - non-network related
8 months ( network security engineer)
3 months (network operation center engineer)
2.2 years network analyst - currently employed here (australian company pala to)

i believe, ACS kasi e nag babawas ng number of years which depends on your degree/diploma. so kung yun ang mangyayari sakin, mababawasan yung 3 yrs network related exp ko and makakakuha ako ng 0 points. (5 points = 3 yrs exp in the last 10 yrs).
may chance ba na hindi mag deduct si ACS ng number of yrs of exp? thanks

Ang question ko po e, should i start na po ba mag apply? or should i wait for 3 years exp sa current company ko? may wife ako pero patapos palang sya ng schooling nya e, next year siguro sya makaka grad. kasi, nag rough estimate ako sa point system. ang deciding factor po yung IELTS. if maka 7 ako, 60 points, if 8, may 70 pts ako while naka 0 ang occupation exp.

am i on the right track? any advise po?

Suggest ko PTE kunin mo instead of ielts based on my experience. Aim mo 79 in all bands equivalent to 8 of ielts. Goodluck and God bless!

Other Engineering Professionals (2339) and Computer Network Professionals (2631) have exceeded their ceiling for this programme year. No further invitations will be offered for these occupations until the 2017-2018 programme year."

and tama ba, ang min. points required for Computer Network Professionals (2631) eh 65?

minimum points is only 60 but it's better if you aim for 70-75 for faster and higher chances.

@anntotsky i think no factor. Acs only assess your school creds and work experience. Certs such as cisa, ccnp etc has no bearing.

palage po ba nag dededuct ang ACS sa work exp mo? katulad nung mga nababasa ko? sakin kasi, may 4 yrs exp ako, 3 yrs network related lang. so ang fear ko. mabawasan and maging 0 points din lang sya.

@quesobamac as far as I know, lage nagde-deduct si ACS sa work exp. Ina-assess kasi nila yun course mo, work exp and job code mo.

@MissM I see, thanks po. sayang naman yung 5 points hehe. during assessment period ni ACS, usually po ba, tinatawagan and vine-verify nila sa mga company or contact person na ilalagay natin sa documents? ang isang fear ko e, nag sara na kasi yung previous company ko

@quesobamac they could probably do that... we never know. hehe. In that case, prepare a StaDec and have your previous supervisor/manager sign it. Afterwards, pa-notarize mo.

Hello all,

I have sort of dilemmas before sending application to ACS.
My first job was not that very much related to 263111 - Computer Network and Systems Engineer. medyo may hawig lang pero not totally pang Network engineer. will it hurt if i-try ko ipa-asssess and provide a stat dec (my employer during this time was an agency and i was deployed on one of their clients and they are unable to provide detailed COE due to confidentiality)

another thing is, will there be an issue kapag madami kang stat dec? medyo matumal mga naging previous company ko e, ayaw mag bigay ng detailed COE, although i can also support job offer letters and ITR in case. yung detailed COE lang talaga ang wala.

@Panorama1 yes, ipa-assess mo lang lahat ng previous work mo. si ACS na bahala magsort nyan. regarding naman sa detailed COE, yung sakin ako lahat gumawa ng COE with job descriptions tapos pinaprint ko with letterhead sa mga previous company at pina-sign sa HR or my previous managers. mas maganda kung may kakilala ka pa rin sa previous companies mo para madali na. bale 3 previous companies sa pinas at 2 dito sa SG, ako lahat gumawa ng detailed COE ko, pinapirmahan ko lang with company letterhead.

What if di ko talaga mahagilap mga prev managers ko? okay lng ba if colleague such as seniors ko?

@Panorama1 sa pagkaalala ko, yung detailed COE ang pinasa kong stat dec. yes, pwede seniors or pwede rin HR. make sure lang na nandun pa sila sa company at ma-attest nila yung nilagay mong job description mo if ever tumawag sila. di ko lang sure if tinatawagan nila 1 by 1 or random checking lang.

Hi, not sure if nasagot na toh dito pero hirap na kasi mag backread.

I am a BSC Major In Business Management graduate (bachelor's degree) with ICT units at all. Ang dilemma ko is do I fal under category of Bachelor's Degree with ICT Minor (because I have a bachelor's degree) or Non-ICT Diploma or higher which requires an RPL?

Also, who here has done an RPL?

@joseflim if you have none or very little ICT units, you have to go the RPL route. You can still be assessed positively by ACS depending on your work experience but they will deduct at least 6 years from experience.

@silverblacksoldier thanks for the response. i have 7 years experience but i'll only be applying as a partner with a principal applicant so i guess this is good news still. just need to do RPL. do you have experience making an RPL?
