@Captain_A agree to bring more funds. Dumating centrelink claim Ko within 6 weeks kaya dapat may buffer budget Ka especially when renting a house. While it is true na ok mag move sa kamag anak, better pa rin live independently so you could optimize the family tax claim sa Centrelink. Nakita Ko advantage ang 457 visas sa work compare sa atin mga PR's but we could catch up once magkaron na tayo ng full time jobs. Stay patient here, takes months to settle with family here.

@Kris_New actually wala kami idea sa ibang states kasi dito kami sa NSW nagsstay. Kmai ni wife inubos namin yung job post sa seek tapos nakamonitor kami sa mga new post everyday. try kadin na ibang job boards if meron din opening like jorah, linkedin or indeed. you have to be ready to accept a contractual position dahil usually yun ang start para makakuha ng local experience. Try mo na din magpaassociate member sa cpaa i think makakatulong din yun sa resume.

@bsingson63 hello po what do you mean without going to embassy? visa applications are done online po so it can be done on your convenience. You cannot apply work here when your on tourist visa, employers wont entertain you and worse if immigration will know your intention before ka nila papasukin ng Australia, your visa will be cancelled (watch border security). may mga pathway po on how you can come in Australia to work based on your credentials kaya better to explore those options.

hi, tanong ko lang po when ang hiring season sa australia? for example dito sa Singapore, around feb ang simula ng madaming opening pagkatapos ng chinese new year. unofficial yan, based lang sa observations ng mga tao. may ganyan din ba sa australia?
we're planning to move mga November this year (Adelaide).

share ko lang experience ko. dumating ako sa sydney march 2016. nakahanap ako ng odd job after 2 weeks then my 2nd part time job after 1 month. after 3 months pa bago ako nkakuha ng full time job as a technician.

@fyi_12 this is really inspiring. Blood, sweat and tears talaga dito sa Australia. It would really takes months to get a job. Akala ng marami madami mapapasukan dito na kahit odd jobs. Kahit odd jobs ang dami rin kakumpentensya, you really need connection inside o d kaya look for it. Swerte mo naman may odd jobs ka. Sobra ako nakakarelate dito minsan maiinis ka na talaga maghanap ng trabaho dito sa Australia. It would really test your patience and character. I been through alot of interview even took a take home exam, code application and interview 2 hours twice tapos hindi rin pala pasok haha. Kaasar diba, kaya one thing I learned here in Australia job hunting the long interview and process is not always successful. Sometimes those that is short and urgent hiring process ends to your plate.

ANONG WORK BA USUALLY ANG PATOK TALAGA SA AUSTRALIA? I graduated as an English major (AB English ang course ko to be exact) but I finished my Masters Degree (Master in Business Administration). Ang undergraduate course ko and masteral, totally magkaiba. Pati ang line of work ko ngayon, iba. Ano po kaya ang pwede kong magiging trabaho sa Australia? I can easily catch up naman po so I'm very confident na kung pagbabasehan lang ang work experience and work ethics, highly competent po ako pero iba kasi qualifications kailangan kahit Executive Assistant lang. HELP.

@Asala If you're working from any of the big 4 firms, or used to work with them (4 out of 6 years at least), you have the chance to be shortlisted for a job here in Aussie even though nasa Pinas.

It is true. I can relate ky @orengoreng. Ang hirap talaga dto hanap ng work sa OZ.. Mka ilang interviews at unsuccessful pa rin. So mga kababayan natin na balak pumunta dto o andito ba, be strong talaga emotionally. Dpat lakasan talaga ang loob, in the end mkahanap pa rin tayo ng work. In fact, yung wife ko, after 4 months lng cya nkahanap ng work..

@manolo1978 ewan ko ba dito kay Australia invite ng invite ng immigrant eh ang liit liit lang naman ng market. Malaki continent nga sya kasing laki ng America o Canada pero ilan portion lang doon ang livable community yun iba hostile environment na desert hindi matitirhan. Maliit ang land area, maliit ang market dumadami immigrant = tight job competition. Marami na talaga immigrants dito compare to the economic zones unlike before basta you have qualification and experience hindi ka na maghihintay ng matagal at kukunin ka. Dito kasi need talaga match sa work yun qualification if not, yun recruiters na yan ang haharang sa application mo. Good luck satin lahat na naghihintay, naghahanap at umaasa na may work para satin sa land down under.

@orengoreng super nakaka-relate ako. I don't wanna sound nega pero minsan napapaisip na ako minsan umuwi ng Pinas, maghanap ng trabaho at umapply na lang uli abroad kapag may pagkakataon. Halos kadarating ko pa lang naman ng Oz pero ang konti talaga ng opening para sa trabaho ko, napaka-specific pa ng requirements nila kelangan super sakto experience mo. Kahit odd jobs nga like sa supermarket need ng experience.
