    nope.. current visa holders are not affected. unless you need to renew your visa at wala ka na sa list 2years nalang yung visa na magragrant sayo and most likely not na applicable for PR visa

    We all know na hindi affected sa new ammendement ang meron ng 457 visa. The question is yung meron ng 457 visa kelangan bang tapusin ang visa to apply for PR or ok lang mag apply PR in the middle of 457 visa.

    @nikpam, afaik, anytime you can apply 189 PR, or at least 2 yrs for 186 PR. No need to wait after 4 years kung 457 ka. Yung 4 years waiting is for PR yun para makapag-apply for citizenship.

    @ohzie, ibig bang sabihin kahit wala na sa bagong list ung nominated occupation mo pwede pa e renew at bibigyan ka pa nila ng 2years?

    @Chowder that's what I reckon.

    "four years after it is granted – if your occupation is listed on the Medium and Long term Strategic Skilled List (MLTSSL)."
    "two years after it is granted – if your occupation is not listed on the MLTSSL."
