Hello po!

I am going to Adelaide for a CHED sponsored scholarship. One year lang naman siya, but I am bringing my de facto partner along (mahilig kami sa adventures together and we think living for a year in another country is a good experience!)

So anyway, I am a graduate student so my partner can work for unlimited number of hours. But we would like to know how the work environment is like there. Kasi may iba nagsasabi na mahirap daw maka hanap ng work diyan?

Thanks @nikx ! Parehas kami sa sales ng husband ko. Pero registered nurse ako sa pinas. Any chance of me working in a aged care facilty? Alam ko in demand daw ang aged care sa Sa kasi nga known for retirees din ito. Sana maging om kami ni hubby. May mga trainings ba na free na alam nyo, meron yata inooffer ang SA government diba like pag barista etc.

@malousolas kmusta po ang job hunting? medyo konti po ang qa jobs dto sa SA pero surely po mkkuha kyo basta meron opening. yun mga standards po pareho lng naman gaya ng ISO, HACCP, etc. ang iba lng po ay meron sarili standards ang woolworths and coles supermarket. goodluck. qa dn po ako dto sa SA.

@kisses1417 Sa pagkakaalam ko you need atleast a certificate para makapag work sa aged care pero yes indemand ang aged care dito. You can explore a lot of options naman pag nandito na kayo ng husband mo. Madami ding trainings na available, not sure lang kung free pero discounted naman ung iba lalo na pag PR ka. Magattend din kayo ng info session na pinoprovide ng SA gov for new migrants, very informative. Kelan kayo magmigrate dito?

okay naman, medyo smooth lang din yung transition namin dito. swerte kasi nakakuha din ako agad ng work na line talaga sa field ko. settled na kami, after a month ko din sa work bumili kami ng second hand car so nakapag drive nadin ako agad dito.

@Strader yup madaming openings dito for hospitality. For IT naman based sa experience ko, madami din for web developer. Madami dami din yung tumawag sakin dati nung nagaapply ako. Kailangan lang talaga itailor mabuti yung resume everytime magaapply ka. Anong field mo?
