Obtaining Police Clearance from the US/FBI

  Hi need your help here.. what's the process regarding providing police clearance once you get an invitation to apply? I read in the AU immigration website you will be given 60 days to submit an application for the visa after you get the invitation. Does that mean that all required documents need to be submitted including police clearance? FBI takes 3 months so I'm concerned that if I get my invitation (hopefully!!) that I won't have enough time and 60 days will expire. I'm stalling my submission of EOI since it seems that invitations are sent out it in less than 1-2 months, while I just submitted by FBI clearance. Baka magkasalisi..

  May 2012 - Revalidated ACS Application (System Analyst)
  9/1/2012 - Taken My 3rd IELTS Exam
  9/14/2012 - Got IELTS results: L=8,R=8.5,W=7,S=7 .. :-) .. pag may tiyaga..may nilaga
  9/15/2012 - Updated my EOI = 65 points (visa 190);60 (VISA 189)
  10/10/2012 - Australia Federal Police Clearance Submitted Online
  10/11/2012 - FBI Clearance Sent Through DHL
  10/22/2012 - Received scan copy of AFP clearance from my friend in Melbourne
  11/15/2012 - Received Invitation for 189 (about 2 months after 60 pts effectivity)
  11/24/2012 - 189 VISA Lodged
  11/29/2012 - DIAC Ack :-)
  12/4/2012 - Received FBI clearance. Friend in US sent scanned copy
  12/17/2012 - CO Assigned
  04/17/2013 Visa 189 Granted.. Thank you Lord...
  08/09/2013 - Flight to Sydney through PAL
  08/10/2013 - Touchdown Sydney
  08/12/2013 - Start of Job Hunt in Australia
  08/26/2013 - First day of work... THANK YOU LORD...
  07/16/2015 - Transferred to my second job/company

  For the Australian Government to determine whether you are of good character, you might be asked to provide police certificates for each country you have lived in for 12 months or more, over the last 10 years, since turning 16 years of age.
  
  Is this still applicable? Or iba ang reqt nila? Nabasa ko kasi sa prev posts na at least 90days. Medyo contradicting lang.

  May ask po ako naway matulungan nyo din ako .
  Ung question ko po is about sa pagkuha ng fbi clearance.
  Nagapply po kasi ako sa australia and then antay lng ng employer para mailodge ang visa.
  
  Meron ksng form na pina fillup ung migration agent nung agency namin and then some of my co application pinapakuha sila ng fbi clearance ako naman kasi ng work ako before sa cruiseship last year ang itinerary namin ay mostly US part kaya medjo nguguluhan pa
  Hindi pa kasi ng eemail ung migration agent kung pakukuhain ako.

  @chizmark as far i could remember, if you stayed in the US (or any country) for total of 12 months for the last 10 years... you will need to get Police Certificate....
  
  Pero sa case mo na cruise ship kamo.... how long ba kayo naka-dock inland sa US or within US waters?
  
  For my case, I visited and stayed in the US for more than 12 months in the past 10 years... di naman ako ni-require ng FBI clearance when I applied for Au PR.
  
  I suggest wait mo na lang advise ng agent mo para di masayang effort mo

  Sir ask ko lng nung kumuha ka po ng fbi clearance panu nila malalaman kung nakuha na nila pero nung sinend ko ung documents ko natnggap ba nila nakita ko thru fedex pero until now hindi pa nila nababawasan ung sa credit card kasi yun ang ginamit ko na pangbayad pero wala pa ako ntatanggap na txt na kinaltas na nila ung 18$ at tsaka may matatanggap ba akong email skanila na pinoproceso ba nila ung fbi clearance?
  Gusto ko lng malinawan kung ok na kaya yun?

  @chizmark if I could remember it right.. it would take a while before nila iprocess yung clearance, I think nasa website ng FBI yung current processing times...
  
  During that time, wala akong na-receive na acknowledgment from them or any communication, I think nagreflect na lang sa cc statement ko yung payment... then ipinadala nila via USPS yung clearance dun sa US delivery address na inindicate ko sa application form

  Kapag buong family yung tumira sa US, kailangan ba pati yung wife and kids ikuha ng fbi clearance? I'm planning to go thru the fbi process para umaandar na bago ko pa ilodge yung visa application.
