    Misis applied prior to 20th of April; ayun matagal na hintay bago nabigyan ng schedule for examination.

    Initial schedule pa for the exams was mid August so badtrip... But fortunately we were able to move it closer for three times until we got a schedule last June 2...

    Now waiting for ceremony nalang; hopefully it should be before our trip home on end October. OTHERWISE, we will have to pay for an RRV (expensive at $350!!)...

    Goodluck to everyone waiting for their exams...

    Tanong lang..naisip ko lang if after citizenship ceremony and nakuha na ang Aussie passport, do we need to inform the Philippine Consulate/ embassy na Aussie citizen and passport na tayo? Or necessary lang yan if gusto natin mag dual citizenship?

    i think at the moment di pa pasado ang new implementing guidelines for citizenship application post 20.04

    @Cassey 4 yrs PR na kami.. yung sa ibang forum.. ang suggestion nila ay kung pasok na kayo sa residence requirement ng old rule ay mag apply na kayo.. kasi doon sa senate.. madami din ang di pabor doon sa retroactive implementation...so may chance din na kung magbago man.. ang effective date ay kung kailan na approve into law... pero nasa inyo yon.. if you would like to take the chance..

    @Cassey depende sa travel history mo.. i suggest na mag download ka ng form 1300t.. magka idea ka ng mga requirements.. almost similar din kasi yung mga tanong sa form vs doon sa online..

    Republic Act No. 9225 or the Citizenship Retention and Re-acquisition Act of 2003 is a law passed on 29 August 2003 which grants natural-born Filipinos who have lost their Filipino citizenship through naturalization in a foreign country, the opportunity to retain or re-acquire their Filipino citizenship.

    If you have an old unexpired philippine passport, you can still use it and get all the privileges as pinoy citizen. You are an automatic dual citizen. However once it expires, go to the Immigration Office and apply for dual citizenship (if you wish to) or just apply for PERMANENT RESIDENCE VISA (13G) known as returning former natural-born filipino citizen.

    @nalooka Kaya nga eh nakakainis nga.. Yung sa amin matagal pa naman mageexpire PR visa kaso eligible na sana kami for Citizenship kasi we’ve been living in Au for 4 yrs now kaso ayun mukhang madedelay pa.. Mukhang yun na nga ang kailangan mong gawin kuha ng Resident return visa.
