Mind you, I tried similar tactic sa Marion branch before- it didnt work. I mean they dont accept overseas marriage cert. You have to have an Apostille Certificate or stamp. Or if you are living in SA for 12 mos or more, you can book for a CBS change of name appointment. Both process cost around $220+@, you can chose either but for the CBS change of name, it will take 3 mos. Not sure how long for the apostille stamp on your overseas marraige cert.

Take the test again in another branch. Give ur expired this time ( if its not more than 5yrs expired). Then u go from there. $50 to repeat the for learners test is much cheaper than the Apostille Stamp and CBS change of name.
