Just want to share, CE din ako and practicing QS in the Philipppines (before) and my assessment result was "Suitable".
However, recently from colleagues and forums I noticed halos karamihan ng CE practicing QS applicants puro not suitable even yung mga members pa ng AIQS. I did some research and I hope these helps.
1. Based on AIQS skilled Migration Assessment Guidelines Clause 2:-
"Qualifications and their comparability will be assessed by the AIQS on a case-by-case basis, utilising Country Education Profiles (CEP) Online, a tool maintained by the Australian Government, Australian Educational International"
Take note of CEP.
2. Country Education Profiles (CEP) is a guide to the education systems of over 115 countries and their comparability with Australian qualifications. (from www.respall.com)
3. In the same website as Item 2, There are a number of institutions: consolidated list of recognised institutions for the CEP. However, the CEP of The Philippines points out to only a number of universities that qualify to be comparable to an Australian bachelor degree. These institutions fall under what they call Section 1.
4. In the same website as Item 2, There are only 59 of these universities in the Philippines and a majority of them (38) are on the main island of Luzon namely:-
•Adventist University of the Philippines
•Angeles University Foundation
•Asian Institute of ManagementAssumption College
•Ateneo de Manila University
•Ateneo de Naga Univeristy
•Baliuag University
•Centro Escolar University
•College of Holy Spirit
•De La Salle University – Dasmarinas
•De La Salle University – Manila
•Holy Angel University
•Jose Rizal University
•Lyceum of the Philippines –Batangas
•Lyceum of the Philippines University Formerly known as: Lyceum of the Philippines, Manila
•Manuel S. Enverga University Foundation – Lucena City
•Mapua Institute of Technology – Manila
•Miriam College Foundation, Inc. Also known as : Miriam College Formerly known as :Maryknoll College
•Our Lady of Fatima University – City of Valenzuela Formerly known as: Our Lady of Fatima College Comments: Incorporating the Fatima Medical Science Foundation and Fatima College
•Philippine Christian University
•Philippines Women’s University
•Saint Joseph’s College of Quezon City Also known as :St. Joseph’s College of Quezon City
•Saint Louis University
•Saint Paul College of Quezon City
•San Beda College – Manila
•Mary’s University Also known as :Saint Mary’s University
•Paul University Manila Formerly known as :?St. Paul College ManilaSaint Paul College of Manila
•Scholastica’s College
•Trinity University of Asia Formerly known as: Trinity College of Quezon City
•University of Asia and the Pacific Formerly known as :Centre for Research andCommunication
•University of Baguio
•University of La Salette Formerly known as :La Salette College of Santiago
•University of Luzon
•University of Santo Tomas
•University of St. Louis
•University of St. Louis Tuguegarao
•University of the East
•University of the Philippines
•Wesleyan University Philippines – Cabanatuan City
So in a nutshell, yung list ng mga schools above are the schools comparable with Australian qualification. It 'might' mean na kapag wala school mo sa list e not suitable yung qualification mo as CE. Although I need further verification from the other CE guys in the forum who han a successful assessment na yung school nila nasa above list. The information above is from a post dated 19 Nov. 2015.
Hope this helps. Don't lose hope.

More than 8yrs na din experience ko being a QS pero for assessment purposes I only claimed 3yrs kasi yun lang yung time na may mentor ako na qualified QS kasi mas nauna AIQS member cya.
Yung requirements sa assessment naman e very straightforward. certified copies of English test, passport, COE, OTR, diploma. then yung reference letter from your supervisor. kelangan lang consistent mga job description mo and tenure mo. dun sa letter sasabihin lang ng supervisor mo na under ka nila for ilang years and during that time this this and this ang trabaho mo. ganun.
Kelangan lang talaga ng matinding confidence and iprove sa kanila na 'no local experience' is not a big issue.
Attitude and principles improtante at your are competent enough to be a QS dito sa OZ.

I will PM you my email address - thanks!

I'm an ECE by degree, pero ang previous and current work experience ko ay more on Cost Estimation. Anyone here na same case as mine?
I'm on dilemma kung I will apply for Quantity Surveyor or Electronics Engineer.
**Electronics Engineer: I have the degree and PRC license but my work experience is different.
**Quantity Surveyor:
> I have 4 years work exp as Projects Estimator (Firefighting/Fire Alarm)
> Currently working as Estimation Engineer (Oil and Gas, mostly Machining and Fabrication)
What would be your advise?
