    I still have one more week to decide if I will take the IELTS next month. Next week pa nman yun last day ng registration. Hindi ko pa kasi nakakacareer yun pagrereview kaya siguro natatakot pa ako kasi hnd pa ready. :)

    @ psychoboy - ayus naman pre, nahirapan lang ako sa reading. mahaba ung mga passages tsaka very similar ung ga choices. listening ayus din at confident ako dito, hehe!

    speaking naman, anaps ung examiner ko tapos may sakit kc inuubo, sinisipon at nababahing. diko alam kung kasama un para madistract ako, hehhe! the topic was group activity that i enjoy...

    writing ok din pero sana umabot ako ng 250 words... naubusan nako ng oras para bilangin. nag-enjoy ako sa part 1 ng writing, ung graph. dpat pala inuna ko ung part 2 kc mas malaki bearing nun...

    pero hopefully umabot pa rin sa 7 lahat pre... hirap umulit in case

    @ricshei Nag-exam ako kahapon ng General Training. Overall, ayos naman ang exam.

    Medyo nahirapan ako sa Listening kasi yung mga "signposts" words ay actually not the exact words used in the audio. Napakarami ng mga pitfalls and traps sa Listening. You will hear all the choices in the audio for the multiple choice type questions kaya dapat makinig nang maayos. And there was a series of 5 questions that I totally got lost (matching type questions). I'm just hoping in the power of guessing in those 5 questions.

    Sa reading, di naman kahirapan ito kasi General Test Module naman ang kinuha ko. Sana makakuha ng mataas.

    Sa Writing, the questions were:
    1) You and a friend have bought theatre tickets. However, you will not be able to come with your friend because of unforeseen cisrcumstances. Write a letter of apology, explain the reasons why you cannot come, and tell your friend what to do about the ticket.
    2) Nowadays, most houses have computers and telephones. It is already possible to work from home. What are the advantages and disadvantages of working at home.

    Sa Speaking, it was like a casual talk only. Kabado ako nung una pero dahil mabait ang examiner, medyo kumalma naman ako. For the first part, he asked about my work and the most difficult part about it. He asked about arts in the Philippines, about traditional dances, about the difference between young people now and the previous generation, difference between young people and children. Sa Part 2, I was asked to describe a teenager I know. Sa Part 3, questions were about giving responsibilites to young people.

    All in all, medyo masaya ako na nakaraos na. Sana pumasa ako (God willing). I don't have enough confidence sa Listening ko.

    This whole IELTS experience (from review to exam) is truly remarkable. I know this will be the start of my long journey to reach that OZ dream.

    Hi guys! Took my Academic IELTS also yesterday at SG BC.

    Compared to my first take, I made sure that this time I manage my time well, last time kc nakulangan ako ng oras sa reading at nanghula tlga ng ibang sagot. Kaso wala pa rin tlga oras mag double check ng answers.

    Also, as I see it, mas madali ung listening at reading this time. Sa 1st exam ko, sa listening maraming multiple choice questions na ang bibilis, ngaun I think about 4 questions only. Tapos sa reading ang marami is ung "choose the right headings" for each paragraph at di masyado ang True, False at Not Given questions.

    Sa Writing Task 1, there is a line graph comparing estimated annual income of men, women with children and women with no children based on age.

    Sa essay, the topic is something like "Now when people travel in other country, there is a lot of similarity in his own country. What are the causes of this similarity? What are the advantages and disadvantages?

    Then, speaking, which for me the topic for part 2 is really not so interesting and I talked less than 1 minute. Wala talaga ako maicip. The irony pa is, this question is the exact question that my friend got when we both took the exam last Sept at wala rin sya masyado na discuss. And since natanong na un, I did not bother to think about it....and boom! I got the same question! tsk tsk!

    which naitanong din sa mga IELTS exam sa ibang country. In case you have time you can check it here and try to answer as many because you don't know if it may be ask again, like what happen to me, surprisingly.

    Hi guys, musta ang mga IELTS niyo? Buhayin ko lang yung isang tip ng isa nating kaforum tungkol sa writing exam.

    Download ninyo yung "White Smoke"...dun kayo magpractice ng pagsusulat.
    Kung may budget kayo, yung "Grammarly" naman kunin niyo, mas comprehensive siya at pang corporate talaga...mag-iimprove di hamak yung skills niyo diyan :)

    Galing ako sa IDP Makati office kanina para i-register si Mrs sa IELTS exam for December 8. Unfortunately puno na daw at January 5 na ang earliest exam =(

    Isa pang sad news para sa akin e hindi sya pinayagan na gamitin ang married name nya para sa exam kasi sa passport nya e yung Maiden name pa rin nya ang gamit since mid last year lang nya ito kinuha at late last year naman kami nagpakasal.

    @renjo hindi nmn po issue ang maiden name... there are other countries, where females are not changing their surnames after marriage..

    so, when submitting documents for assessment or diac, just use whatever is in the passport..
    and then provide your marriage certificate to show na married kayo..

    WOW!!! that is good news for me @lock_code2004...

    One more concern na lang...papayagan kaya ako na ang IELTS ng asawa ko e maibigay na lang later? Kasi ang deadline ng pag-lodge ko e January 15 at ang IELTS exam naman nya e January 5 meaning after 13 days pa makukuha yung result which is past 3 days ng lodging deadline...
